kiss before he pulled back. Logan stayed there, leaning against the wall even after Indigo was long gone. If anything was going to continue, and Logan desperately wanted—no, he needed it to, the next questions would be a shit ton harder than asking Indigo his sexuality.
Logan ran his hand down his face. “It’s either this or let him go,” Logan muttered to himself.
The thought of letting Indigo go turned his stomach. He was fucked either way.

“Loggy, can we watch one more movie?” Gabriella pleaded.
Her beautiful eyes, so much like her father’s, nearly had Logan folding. But he caught sight of Indigo on the other side of the pillow fort and knew they still had matters they needed to talk about.
“Sorry, princess,” Logan said, kissing her on her forehead.
She crossed her arms and turned her puppy dogs eyes onto Indigo. He flinched back as if she’d hit him, and he looked to Logan.
“Oh, no you don’t,” Logan said, shaking his head.
Indigo gave Logan the same puppy dog eyes, and it shouldn’t have worked for a grown-ass man, and yet Logan was ready to fold under the pressure. Gabriella turned back with the same pleading eyes and held Logan’s hand. “Please, Loggy, one more. I love spending time with you.”
Right through the heart. Logan sighed, knowing he was giving in with barely a fight.
“One more,” he muttered.
“Yay, family time is the best,” Gabriella shouted as she snuggled back between Indigo and Logan.
Logan’s lips tugged up into a smile. She thought of him as family. They put on another princess movie and sat back to watch it. Indigo’s arm wrapped around them, and his fingers danced along the back of Logan’s head and neck. Logan found himself enjoying the comfort. This could be their little family. Gabriella would be his. The thought warmed his insides, and he realized he already thought of Gabriella as his daughter. It only cemented the need for further discussion once they put Gabriella to bed.
The movie ended, but Gabriella fell asleep before she witnessed it.
“We are going to be subject to that movie again, aren’t we?” Logan asked.
Indigo muffled his laughter. “I’ve seen that movie a total of fifty times since it came out. I’m sure we will see it again and again,” Indigo said.
Logan looked on in horror. Don’t get him wrong, the movie was okay, but to watch it over and over… He realized as Indigo scooped Gabriella up that Indigo was speaking as if they were going to be together forever.
“Want to come and tuck her in with me?” Indigo asked, standing next to the door.
Logan stood up, pushing back any thoughts on the future. They were for later.
“Lead the way,” Logan said. They made their way downstairs and into Indigo’s room that led to Gabriella’s. Logan wanted to move them both upstairs into his room or move downstairs to their room. Soon, he promised himself, or he would disappear from both of their lives.
Logan opened the door, and Gabriella’s princess-themed room was oddly clean for once.
“I don’t think I’ve ever seen the floor in here,” Logan joked.
Indigo laughed. “I told her we couldn’t watch movies with you if she didn’t help clean her room.”
Logan nodded. “A little bribery goes a long way.”
Indigo laid Gabriella down, and Logan saw the picture of Teagan, Indigo’s deceased wife and Gabriella’s mom. He’d seen it before. Teagan had been a beautiful woman. Her brown curls were cut short and freckles covered most of her face. She had kind, light-blue eyes.
Gabriella’s eyes fluttered open, and she looked up at them with a goofy smile on her face. Indigo reached over her and picked up the picture and handed it Gabriella. She placed a kiss on it.
“Night, Mommy.” She handed it to Indigo, who also kissed it and said good night. Before he could place it on the nightstand, Gabriella surprised them both.
“Wait, Loggy needs to say goodnight to Mommy too,” Gabriella said.
Indigo gave Logan a panicked look; he opened his mouth, and Logan kneeled down and took hold of the picture before Indigo could say anything.
“Is it okay if I hug her?” Logan asked.
Gabriella nodded. And so, Logan hugged the picture frame. “Goodnight.” He placed it down gently, and Gabriella had the biggest smile on her face. She reached out for Logan, and he bent over and she placed a kiss on his cheek. “Good night, Loggy.”
Tears that he refused to shed pricked at the back of his eyes. He gave Gabriella a kiss on her temple. “Night, princess.”
