on the video, then sit back in the bed with my phone and hit play.
She smiles. “Oh, my goodness, we look hot as hell while we do it, don’t we? I really know how to suck that thing.”
We about die laughing at the ridiculousness of it all.
She adds, “I can’t believe you went with my idea to video us. I thought it might be too much.”
He shrugs. “I think it’s safe to say we just made the hottest porn in existence. Plus, it’s just for us.”
“You literally controlled my orgasm. That was so hot, having to control it, letting it build up.”
I squeeze her thigh. “You’re a really good girl.”
“I am. But only for you, Grant.” She nuzzles into my neck. “I didn’t even know my body was capable of releasing that much pleasure. How did you even do that?”
“I just did what I wanted to do, and apparently you like it.”
“Why do we work so well?”
“Because it’s real.”
“What’s real?”
“Our connection,” I emphasize. “I was serious about every single thing I said.”
“I’ve never been with someone I felt I could be completely myself with.” She chuckles.
“What?” I ask because I know she feels what I feel, two people cannot have this type of connection without trust.
“It’s so ironic that we recorded that session…because I totally forgot about trying to be something else. In the past…I think I’ve put on a show. You know? With you, Grant, I just am. I’m me. And I know that’s enough.”
“More than enough.”
We get to the part in the video where I’m doing her from behind. “Wow. You can’t even see our faces. We could totally post this on some website!”
I give her a dirty look.
“Kidding!” she says when she sees my reaction. “I’m totally kidding. Although, I was thinking about your whole thing about ‘energies’ and how porn isn’t love energy, because it’s just two hired guns who are actors. Well, if we put this out there, at least we’d be putting out a video with two people having sex who truly have a connection. Maybe like those married couples Donnie watches. You know?”
I process what she’s saying. “It’s not a bad point, actually. If digital media is multiplying good energy, well, then, it could potentially be a good thing. But it’s generally manufactured to appeal to our addictive brains and make us think that our romantic encounters aren’t enough unless we’re living out some ultimate fantasy, with easy access to a woman whenever we want.”
“Also, wow. You’re really giving it to me,” she comments at the video, then runs her hand down my abs. “Nicely done, handsome. I do say you’ve got a special talent.”
I wiggle my eyebrows, and run my hands over her. “How do you feel? Worn out?”
“I think maybe we should have one more round. Just to be on the safe side.”
“I like that idea.”

Grant
I wake up the next morning from a glorious dream.
Though when I come to I realize that no dream is as good as my current reality.
I spin around to where Maya was sleeping when we crashed last night after hours of being intimate with this gorgeous woman. But she’s not there.
I check the time. It’s still before sunrise.
When I come into the living room, she’s sitting on the couch with her hands in her lap, and staring out the windows.
She’s got one of my baseball shirts on. The sleeves come down to my forearms, but on her it’s basically a long sleeve. She looks so damn peaceful.
“Good morning,” I bellow out from behind her. “Wake up early today?”
She flinches and turns around. “Oh. Good morning. You scared me.”
I screw my face up. “Did you forget about me?”
“Never. I was just deep in thought.”
“What are you thinking about?”
“Life.”
I wrap around to the front of the couch and sit down next to her. I guide her mouth to mine for a morning kiss.
“What about life? Sunrise is beautiful, by the way.”
“I know. I love the oranges and the reds and pinks and blues.” She sighs. “As for life. You ever feel like your path is just…defined for you? And that you never really got your say in it?”
“I don’t know. I’ve always wanted to play baseball, and no one pressured me into that. I think I’m just lucky to be good enough to play.”
She threads a hand through my hair. “Sometimes I feel like we make these big decisions when we’re high school age. Where we’ll go to school. What we’ll do. Who we’ll marry.”
“Your mind has really
