like I’m even remotely intimidated by him. He’s on crack. I have the vagina, which means I run this shit.
I snort into my latte. “Yeah, that’s not going to happen.”
An Hour Later:
“I hope you realize that I’m going to smother you to death in your sleep tonight.” I growl to the walking dead man that dragged me to this gym.
The jerk literally picked me up and dropped me onto our bed. He then stood there until I got dressed and looked somewhat presentable. I say somewhat because there was no way in hell that I was putting in any sort of effort today. He can deal with troll looking Stacey today. Serves him right. Especially since I had to listen to three teenage girls laughing at me the entire time. See if I ever help their traitorous asses out. I’m making sure to tell Danny and JJ anytime a guy so much as even looks in their direction now. I may not be an evil step-mother, but my ass sure as hell will be a petty one.
He looks over at me with a smirk and just shakes his head. Jameson is currently in the ring pretending that he doesn’t hear me threatening his coach/boss. He’s the only one that I like right now.
“Babe, why don’t you go over and workout with the girls?” He chuckles when I scratch my eye with my middle finger. “Fine, sit here being miserable.”
“I was perfectly fine sitting at home, on the couch binge watching an extremely handsome devil. But noooo, you dragged me in here….literally.” I huff and try to shoot fire out of my eyes at him. I mean come on, what woman wants to sit in a gym all day when she could be watching a man who is naked in almost every episode? Danny is just cruel. He even dragged Dante with us. Although, he seems to be very content on his, yet another, large foam dog bed that Danny bought him specifically for here.
I wonder if he would let me lay down and take a nap with him? I am a good dog mommy. I totally gave him a ton of treats while trying to get him to growl at Danny so that I could stay home. For a breed that’s known as excellent guard dogs, Dante kinda sucks. He just sat there as Danny dragged me around. I’m totally buying him those dry milk bones that he hates as punishment. He’s supposed to protect his mommy at all costs. Not sit there patiently, wagging his tail the entire time.
“Why is she giving the dog dirty looks to?” Jameson asks in a low voice, that I guess he thinks is a whisper. He’s too big for his voice not to carry though.
Danny snorts. “Probably because she couldn’t get him to bite me so that she could stay home.”
I look at the two of them. “I was trying to get him to growl at you. Not bite you.” I give Dante one more dirty look. “The only thing that he did was take the treats that I was offering him.” I grumble much to everyone’s amusement. All the other guys around are pretending that they’re not laughing at me. Whatever.
I jump when someone plops down beside me. “Eck.” I do not claim the sound that just came out of my mouth.
“Shhh, stop being so loud.” Kealy whispers from where she’s now leaning on me. Damn, and I thought that I looked roughed. I’m looking like a runway model compared to her right now.
“You look like I feel.” I tell her.
She looks over at me and I giggle when I see that she’s wearing sunglasses inside. “Right back at ya.” She grumbles.
“No need to be pissy.” I look at her again and realize that she’s in her workout gear. “What are you doing here anyway?”
I feel her groan in my very soul. “I told Edge last night that I wanted to work on some moves today. Drunk me didn’t think about how sober me would be feeling today.”
“Why didn’t you just call him and tell him that you had to cancel?”
“I don’t have his phone number.” She says simply.
I look over at her dubiously. “How do you not have his phone number? He’s always helping you train or move.”
She gives me a sheepish shrug. “Someone else always has his number. We usually schedule training when we’re here. And Danny called and asked him to help with the move. I didn’t want to
