any more prodding to keep talking, so I decided to wait.
“This will definitely add another layer to a conventional friendship, but would it be fair to ask you not to date anyone else while I'm in the role of your caretaker?” He shifted on the stool so he was leaning one elbow on the counter, studying me.
Since I hadn’t planned on dating anyone, it wasn’t difficult to agree to. “I think it’s fair. Are you planning on dating anyone?”
I knew the answer, but I wanted to make sure the question was out there so there was no confusion later.
“No.” He shook his head. “I need to figure things out first before I attempt to explain it to anyone else and college is not the right atmosphere for finding a patient mate.”
I found myself giggling. “I would have to agree.”
With that settled, he seemed to relax even more. “At some point soon, I would like to discuss your limits and what other things you would like to explore as a little, but I think that’s enough for tonight.”
Waiting for his other questions might kill me, but I nodded. “Okay.”
Finishing up my food, I smiled at him. “So any plans for tonight?”
He gave me a teasing smirk. “What work do you need to do?”
I grinned. “I got it done earlier and I’m all caught up. Later this week I need to start planning out another paper, but I’m planning on using a Leon approved time frame to schedule getting it done so that is still very early.”
His smile widened as he nodded. “Alright, you can tell me about your plan later this week.”
“Yes, Daddy.” Since we both seemed to be done, I stood and picked up our plates. “It’s my turn to do the dishes since I’m not little. Do you want to get a shower and then turn on your show?”
He stood but didn’t seem completely on board with that idea. “Are you sure you don’t want to be little?”
Considering how often I was little in the evening, it was a reasonable question. Answering it made me slightly nervous, though. “I had fun playing with Destin earlier and I might want to be little right before bed, but right now I’d rather hang out with you, if that’s okay?”
Okay, so I’d wussed out…but asking him to cuddle me while we watched his show seemed like it might come out of the blue.
“That’s fine.” He looked around the kitchen. “Do you have any questions about cleaning up?”
“No, I’ve got it.” Smiling as I set the plates by the sink, I made a shooing motion with my hands. “Shower before the arias start.”
Chuckling, he nodded. “That is probably a good idea.”
It didn’t take either of us long to finish our respective tasks and soon Leon was relaxing on the couch as I made up random things to do around the house. Subtle obviously wasn’t my strong suit because as the show started to play, Leon cleared his throat.
“I realize there’s something I’m supposed to know or have guessed from what was probably a very obvious clue, but I have no idea why you’re so agitated.” When I turned guiltily toward him, he shook his head. “No, let me finish. You were happy during our discussion on being little and my status as your Daddy, but now there’s something you’re struggling with. If you don’t tell me these things, I can’t fix whatever has gone wrong.”
“I know.” I gave a half shrug as I walked toward the couch. “I just didn’t know how to say it and I was trying to figure that out. I didn’t expect you to read my mind.”
He’d suck at that game.
“Then what do you need? Did you change your mind about being little while we watched television?” He started to fiddle with the remote again, probably to change the show, so I shook my head.
“No, that’s not the problem. I want to be little before bed, but that’s not it now.” Taking a deep breath, I forced the words out. “I want to cuddle next to you on the couch, but I wasn’t sure how to say that since I’m not technically little, but you always feel a bit like my Daddy, so separating—”
“Ah.” The look on his face was like a lightbulb had gone off over his head in a cartoon. “Destin just jumped on me and said it was my responsibility to cuddle him. I’m obviously not used to subtle. Come here.”
Holding back a giggle that wanted
