it.”
“And do you really think we’re going to come back and just sleep, Gemma?” He looked at me in his T-shirt. “I like how that looks on you.” He grinned.
“Oh yeah?” I smiled and then looked down. I blushed as I realized that the white material was transparent and he could see the full shape of my naked breasts underneath, my nipples were protruding and pointing out, disguising nothing.
“Yeah, I think it suits you way better than it suits me. You look far hotter in it,” he laughed.
“Whatever,” I said and then took a bite of the sandwich. “Mm, this is delicious. Thank you for making it.”
“Hey, it’s the least I could do after wearing you out.”
“After wearing me out? I think I wore you out.” I hit him on the shoulder.
“You did wear me out,” he said. “And I’d like you to wear me out a couple more times tonight.”
“Connor.” I took another bite of my sandwich. “So Connor, tell me about you. Tell me about your last relationship.” I wasn’t sure why I asked, but I figured maybe it would help me understand him more and where he was coming from.
“My last relationship, hm.” He grabbed his own sandwich and took a bite. “Are we talking my last fuck buddy or the last person that I was seeing monogamously?”
“I guess both.” I raised an eyebrow. “I didn’t realize that there were two different definitions.”
“You’ve never had a fuck buddy?” He looked at me in surprise. “Really?”
“Really,” I said. “Every guy I’ve slept with, well, I guess aside from you now I’ve been in a relationship with.”
“Okay.” He looked impressed. “Good for you.”
“So tell me more, don’t change the subject.”
“Okay well, are you sure you want to hear this?” he said in my face. “I know some girls get jealous very quickly and I don’t want this to cause any sort of issues between us.”
“Trust me,” I said. “I wouldn’t ask if I didn’t want to know.”
“Okay well, my last fuck buddy was about two months ago.”
“Okay.” I was jealous and I hated it. I wasn’t going to let him know though. “So who is she? Is it someone you still see?”
“Her name was Tina, we met at a show actually, a gig in Queens.”
“Okay.”
“It was a house party.”
“I don’t need all the details.” I laughed even though I wasn’t finding it very funny.
“Okay well, yeah, she was sort of in the music business, well, she was a DJ when we met. We had a couple of drinks, a couple of different times and you know, had some fun.” He shrugged. “I think we hooked up for about two months and then she met some other dude, some DJ in Paris and she ended up moving out there to be with him.”
“Oh wow, how did that make you feel?”
“Honestly, I didn’t care.” He shook his head. “It was just sex.”
“Oh, okay.” Wondering if that’s how he thought about me. “So did she like the cabin too?” I knew I was prying, I knew that I shouldn’t, but I couldn’t help myself. A slow smile crossed his face as he gazed at me.
“Oh, Gemma, you’re jealous aren’t you?”
“No, I’m not jealous,” I shook my head. “I’m just curious if she liked it because I think it’s really cool and ...”
“You’re the only girl I’ve brought here.”
“Really?” I looked at him with surprise. “No way. Not even the girls you’ve dated?”
“You’re the only girl I’ve brought here.” He shrugged, looking out of the window. “This is a special place to me. I feel really at peace and in harmony here and I guess I just wanted to share it with you because I thought you’d understand, you know?” He looked back at me and I nodded.
“Thank you for sharing your special place with me, Connor.”
“You’re welcome,” he said as he took another bite of his sandwich. “Okay, so I told you about my last fuck buddy. My last relationship, well, I don’t know if you’re going to want to hear this.”
“Uh oh, don’t tell me you were married once or something,” I said the words lightly though. I hated it. What if he had been married? It would kill me. Maybe that’s why he was so anti-commitment. Maybe he’d been married and gotten hurt and never wanted to go back there again.
“So my last relationship was actually an open relationship.”
“Okay, what does that mean exactly?”
He grinned. “I was kind of seeing two girls at the same time.”
“Oh, okay.”
“And they were kind
