and have fun if you’re wounded?”
“I heal swiftly,” Leortis assured. “In the amount of time it’ll take me to fly us home”—he really liked the idea of having his mate in his home—”they’ll be mostly healed.” Leortis waggled his brows as he added, “Then I just might never let you leave.”
There’s no might about it, but I’ll ease my mate into that knowledge soon enough.
Rubbing his hands over Leortis’s neck, Cardin admitted, “I don’t think I’ll want to leave.” Then his brows furrowed, and he cocked his head. “Don’t your wounds heal when you shift?”
Leortis chuckled despite the pain beginning to seep up his back end. “That’s only in fairy tales, my mate.”
Cardin laughed as he continued to rub his hands over Leortis’s scales. “Well, I’m talking to a dragon, so I’m pretty sure I’m in one.”
“Come on, Princess,” Leortis teased with a wink. “Let me take you to my castle.”
Groaning, Cardin smacked his scaled cheek with the back of his hand. “Bad humor.”
Leortis nuzzled his mate. “You can spank me later.”
Cardin groaned for a different reason. Leortis could tell, since arousal now perfumed the air. Laughing, he helped his mate onto his neck, then flew them home.
I can’t wait for my happily ever after.

Suede Delray
The Dark Lord has been patient. It is time for Amish to come home.
After Amish pressures Liam to take a week off from his medical practice to enjoy the beautiful summer weather, an impromptu road trip results. Without any clear destination, Amish and Liam decide to leisurely explore the beautiful state of Vermont, taking in the sites along the way. They have no way of knowing that their summer vacation is leading them to a strange, other-earthly town, where a cruel and final destiny awaits.
The Dark Lord has been patient. He has indulged Amish in his existential crisis to live as a mortal man on earth with his lover, Liam Macdonald. Now, it is time for Amish to return home and resume his predestined responsibilities as Lord of the World in Between.
Chapter One
It had taken Amish weeks to talk Liam into this vacation. Thankfully, the beautiful summer weather acted as a whimsical sidekick to Amish’s persistent nagging, finally coaxing Liam out of the medical clinic. They’d already been in this small Vermont town outside Rutland for two years. Thanks to some angelic intervention, Liam had overcome his post-traumatic stress, brought on by his stint with Doctors Without Borders in Yemen. Amish had watched his mortal lover adapt to the leisurely pace of the clinic, bonding with his motley crew of patients and settling into small-town life. Meanwhile, Amish had indulged his love of antiques and begun buying and selling various treasures. But as the spring brought new flowers and the trees fluttered with their greenery, Amish yearned for an adventure.
“Are you sure it’s not because you want to stop by that auction barn in Burlington?” Liam probed as he put another t-shirt in his suitcase. There was that cheeky grin.
Amish smirked. “It’s Saint Albans, actually.” He moved up behind Liam and wrapped him up in his arms. He kissed his cheek. “That’s not why.”
“It’s a fringe benefit,” Liam insisted, turning his head for a kiss.
Amish took full advantage and moved Liam around in his arms, kissing him for far longer than intended.
“Um, pack later,” Liam murmured, moving a hand up Amish’s bicep.
Amish laughed and struggled away. “No. Behave now. Plenty of time for that. We are leaving today. No more procrastinating.”
Liam sighed. “Cruel.” He went back to his packing. Then he turned around and glanced at him. “What if there’s an emergency? What if Penny Armstead gets called for her surgery in Rutledge while we are away and—”
Amish pointed to the suitcase. “There are doctors at the hospital. We will be gone one week. That’s seven days. It will
