thought of it, as my stomach feels like the butterflies in it are rioting.
“Ready as you are.” He laughs, and squeezes my hand. “Last one in cooks dinner.”
He jumps off the edge as he says the words, leaving me standing watching, we both know I’m never cooking. But once he resurfaces in the water with a whoop, I take a few steps back then run to edge and jump off into a dive.
The wind rushes past me, filling my ears, so loud I barely hear my own screams just before I break the surface of the water.
“Holy fuck that’s cold!” I squeal as I surface, Creek just laughs before submerging, then coming up and flicking his hair back off his face. “You belong in a shampoo commercial.”
He laughs with me before splashing me. “Again?”
He doesn’t even need to ask, I haven’t felt this free in longer than I can remember.
“Hell fucking yes.”
Chapter Nine
After an amazing day with Creek yesterday, Roman crawled into my bed with us last night, which is how I find myself tangled up in them both when I wake. Roman’s hand is on my hip, my head on his chest, while my legs are intertwined with Creek’s. It’s not a bad place to find myself.
I untangle myself from them both without them stirring, which is a feat in itself, and get ready for the day. Today, I want to go and see Colt. I should probably have gone to see him already, and Fallon, but reassuring the guys I wasn’t going anywhere has been basically a full-time thing since I got back. And Roman is still in a bit of a funk because I haven’t had much one on one time with him since I got back from Avalon, but I’ll make it up to him later. There’s an itch inside of me that’s pushing me to go and see Colt, so that’s the first thing on my agenda today.
I shower quickly, washing my hair before rebraiding it to keep it out of the way, and dress as quietly as I can.
“Running off so early?” Roman rumbles as he walks into my closet in nothing but a pair of boxers, and a black t-shirt, the sight of him half asleep and still ready for me is almost enough to make me rethink my plans.
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to wake you,” I tell him, biting my lip.
“You’re the best thing to wake up to,” he says as he pulls me towards him and kisses me with so much heat I practically melt under his touch. His fingertips graze the skin where my t-shirt rides up as I wrap my arms around his neck, and I groan at the contact. Fuck I missed this.
I might not have been gone long, but it’s been forever since I was with my guys properly with everything that was going on before Michael took me. I press up against him and his hands travel down to my ass, he cups it with his hands before lifting me. I wrap my legs around him, our lips never parting, and he pushes me up against the wall, his hardness obvious as he presses into me.
When he pulls back, I’m panting, and he graces me with a wolfish smile. “Good morning, Princess.”
“Uh-huh,” is all I manage to get out, which makes him chuckle. I groan, because the shaking of his body from the chuckle rubs him against me again.
“To be continued,” he says softly, taking my lips again gently before setting me back on my feet. I groan as he pulls away from me, but I know he’s not wrong. I have plans, and this, this can be put on hold until tonight.
“I love you,” I tell him softly, and he pulls me into him again.
“I love you too.” He squeezes me tight before releasing me. “Now get out of here before I change my mind and tie you to the bed for the whole day.”
“I mean… I am definitely not opposed to this idea,” I say, as I run my hands up his bare chest. “I most certainly could be persuaded to move my plans from today to tomorrow.”
He looks up to the ceiling as if trying to find the strength to tell me no, even though he doesn’t know what my plans are. He looks back down at me, and his eyes are glowing.
“Fuck this,” he mutters before picking me up and slinging me over his shoulder. I squeak, and Creek just smiles and
