the sound of clapping and I turned, ready to storm off in some dramatic fashion when a sight stopped me dead.
This was because I was now facing…
The Dragon King.

A King’s Flight
The moment I turned around, I couldn’t help but do so slowly, with my widened gaze taking in the mythical image of an incredible, enormous white dragon now stood before us! Naturally, I sucked in a shuddered breath whilst taking a couple of steps backwards because well, despite what Trice thought, I did have some self-preservation!
But it was strange when being faced with this mythological beast, because it wasn't as if I hadn't seen an impressive dragon before. In fact, not to brag, but I had seen what was most likely considered as one the most unique dragons of all, as the shifter of three brothers when combined was an incredible sight to behold.
Three creatures all merged as one that created the appearance of a three headed dragon with three sets of wings, three tails and three pairs of feet, was a sight that was bound to stop anyone in their tracks. Even someone who lived here where dragons seemed to roam free like wild horses. Hell, for all I knew this was a dragon wildlife reserve and the man who sat upon the white dragon, now riding upon its back like his Noble steed, was the park’s manager.
However, despite these facts and what was my close relationship with the most impressive beast of all belonging to the McBain brothers, one fundamental truth was what changed my reaction. I knew that whenever faced with the combined shift of the brothers, that they would never hurt me. They would only protect me, because at the centre of all that thick scaled skin fur and feathers lay three Scottish hearts belonging to the three bounty hunters that knew and cared for me.
But as for this majestic pale beast in front of me now, well that was no shifter. He was just a dragon and what looked like a mighty one at that. This of course meant that the threat was very real and one I was taking seriously despite it being tame enough to be ridden on. Even if all evidence did point towards the fact that it had been tamed by a master…
It's rider, the King.
It was easy to deduct as much considering the crown he wore on his head, and I was at least thankful that the handsome man was smiling despite the imposing figure he presented. Of course, if I'd have ridden in here on top of that mighty beast, dressed as one of the Teletubbies, then even I would have been considered imposing.
Parts of the beast looked as if it had been carved from white stone, as its body was overly muscular and covered in what looked like a sheen of velvety skin. Now, as for its feet, tail and underbelly that reached all the way up its neck, this was covered in large, thick scales. Lines of black could be seen in between the cracks, giving it the appearance of darker skin beneath. As for its face, this was domed with a fin at the very top of its head. It looked to be made of hardened scales, making it look as though it had a horn connecting to the bridge of its nose and finally ending at its beak-like mouth. Rows of teeth could be seen running along the sides of its face as they were not hidden when the beast had its mouth closed but instead, they overhung the bottom part of its jaw. A series of slits either side of its snout that were obviously nostrils, blew out steam when it grew restless.
Its incredible eyes were set back with darkened skin framing the spiked arches of its brows, the scaled head bristled like feathers when it snorted as if in an impatient manner. This made the King coo down at it, asking for it to calm. It obviously didn't appreciate being stood there idly as its master was yet to make a command of it. But on hearing his voice, its eyes glowed like blue crystals with a permanent flame behind them.
As for its wings, these were connected to two giant arms that branched off with large finger bones that were knuckled and interlaced with paper white webbed skin. A pair that was currently tucked close to the side of its body, and once more it snapped out its tail as if it just
