workmen be so efficient, or so clean!”
“Me either, but I’m not going to complain.” We head back to the kitchen and Everly hands us the glasses of hot chocolate, topped with a generous amount of cream and chocolate curls. I sigh contentedly before I dig in with the spoon she hands me.
“At least the siting room is sorted,” Everly says as she sits. “I have a feeling it was meant to be done before you got home.” She winks at me, and I laugh.
“Idiots, the pair of them.”
“Been a while since someone called me that.” Levi’s voice carries through the room as he appears in the doorway.
“Maybe it’s been a while since you deserved it.” I level him with a look and he shrugs apologetically.
“Also quite true. Welcome home.” He walks over and kisses the top of my head. “Apologies again Everly. Next time, I’ll keep my anger in check.”
“What were you guys even arguing about?” I ask as he rubs my shoulders.
“Nothing of importance. We were both just frustrated at the lack of movement with what we were trying to accomplish. We were more letting off steam than arguing.”
“Next time, jump in the pool,” Everly scolds him, and Fallon chuckles.
“That’s an idea.” His eyes sparkle as he takes the scolding in jest.
“Was your trip as successful as you hoped?”
“It was better than expected,” Kain tells him, and they both leave the room to go over what happened with the Generals while we were gone.
“Would you like some dinner, dear?” Everly asks. “I can’t imagine they fed you all that well over there.”
“I’d love some, thank you, I missed your cooking greatly.” I tell her, there is no way I’m telling her about Nonnie. Not yet anyway.
“Well then, mac and cheese it is!”
“You truly are the best!” I hug her tightly and she waves me off.
“Go on, you go relax, I’ll come and get you once its ready. I’m sure the other two won’t be too much longer before they’re back.
We head to my room, passing Levi and Kain talking about the Generals and their clans, the numbers it gives us, should we need them when the time comes. Levi grabs my hand as we pass and pulls me in for a scorching kiss. I whimper beneath the onslaught of his lips and tongue as he devours me.
“Hi,” he breaths as he releases my lips.
“Hi,” I pant. Now that is the hello I’d hoped for.
“Come on you, before you pair set the room alight with how hot that was.” Fallon pulls at my arm, and I follow her lead as we head towards my room. “I’ve been staying in here a little, just FYI. Levi said you’d be moving to the main room pretty soon, and I figured you wouldn’t mind.”
“As long as you didn’t fuck my brother in my bed. It’s fine.” I smile, and she bursts out laughing.
“No, no brother fuckery in your bed. Or at all.”
“Well, I hope you guys work through your shit, but those are details I can definitely do without.” I flop onto my bed and let out a deep breath.
“I’m sure I can manage that.” She laughs as she lies down beside me. “I have a feeling it’ll be a while till we sort everything out properly anyway with everything going on. My poor, poor vagina.”
“Nope. Don’t want to hear it. Just nope.” I laugh and shake my head.
“Yeah, yeah. Just because you’ve got all the dick a girl could dream of.”
“No, it’s more that you want my brother’s dick, and that’s not something I want taking up my brain space.”
“It’s a very nice dick.” She shrugs and giggles.
“Nope. Just nope.”
“Who has a very nice dick?” We sit up, and find Roman standing in my doorway. That’ll teach me for not closing the door.
“It’s not something I want to discuss,” I say as Fallon speaks at the same time,
“It’s her brother.”
“And now it all makes sense. Welcome home, Princess.” He stalks over to me, pushes his hands into my hair, and kisses me so fiercely, he steals my breath.
“Well, holy hotness. I’m going to get out of here before I combust,” Fallon says before slipping out of the room.
“Welcome back yourself, you heathen.” I grin at him, and he groans.
“I knew you were going to give me shit about that. Sometimes a man just needs to break things. At least it was furniture and not Angel boys face.” He sits beside me, pulling me closer to him. “It could have been much worse,
