that I don’t even take a peak at that perfect butt. I definitely must be on my deathbed.
“Dad!” Is screamed from the front of the house. “Are you home?”
“Yeah, I’ll be out in a minute.” The love of my life yells loud enough to shake the walls.
“Shhhh!” I hiss. “Can’t you yell quieter?”
“We brought coffee and donuts.” One of the girls yells.
“I officially love your children more than I love you.” I tell him seriously while trying to slowly open my eyes. I may be dying but I sure as hell will get my ass up for coffee and donuts.
“We got those chocolate ones that Stacey likes.” I think it’s Becca who yells. It’s still really hard to tell their voices apart.
“Yup. They’re definitely my favorites. At this point, I’m only with you because of them.”
I slowly look over and see Danny shaking his head while smirking at me. “Way to make a guy feel good.”
I get to a sitting position at the same speed as a tortoise. “You’ll be fine. They’re still young and need all the love that they can get.”
“Uh-huh.” He mutters.
I finally feel like I can stand and do so very carefully. Awesome, nothing is spinning. I start to walk towards the wonderful smell of chocolate and coffee when Danny stops me.
“Hey babe?”
I blearily look at him. “What?”
“How about we not scar my girls for life, yeah?”
I blink a few times, annoyed that he’s standing in the way of heaven. “What are you talking about?”
“As much as I love watching your fine ass walk around naked. I’m not so sure my girls would be as appreciative of the same view.” He chuckles.
It takes me a minute for the words to register in my muddled brain. I look down at myself and yep, totally naked.
“Right. How about you go out there while I put some clothes on.” I say sheepishly.
“Good idea.” He smirks before smacking my butt and walking out the room laughing.
“Jerk.” I mumble to the now empty room.
I throw on some panties, Danny’s sweatpants that I have to roll at the waist several times and a hoodie. Hopefully no one will realize that I don’t have anything on underneath. But even if they do, screw it. I need coffee too badly to actually give a damn about how I look right now.
I slowly make my way towards the kitchen, cursing every step that moves my brain. I’m seriously never drinking again. Okay, fine, I’m not drinking until I forget how bad this hangover is.
I can hear the girls laughing and making fun of Danny from all the way down the hall, causing me to smile. The man is sex personified, but he’s never sexier than when he’s with his girls. The love that he has for all three of them makes my heart swell and ovaries explode.
I walk into the kitchen and am assaulted by the wonderful smell of coffee. “Hmmm, smells so good in here.” I mumble.
All four heads turn in unison. I’m not going to lie, it’s a little unnerving having eight eyes staring at you first thing in the morning.
“Rough night?” Missy asks with a huge smile on her face.
“Rough night?” Becca giggles. “From the looks of her, it’s a rough morning too.”
“Hey Stace, have you decided to nurse some baby birds?” Paige asks me with a smile that screams she’s up to no good.
I gratefully take the cup of coffee that Danny hands me, who looks like he’s about to burst out laughing.
“What are you wonderful demons talking about?” I inhale the mocha latte and sigh. They may be demons, but at least they’re thoughtful ones.
“She’s asking because of the nest that you’re currently sporting on top of your head.” Becca chirps.
Annnnnd I knew I forgot to do something before I left the bedroom. Probably should’ve taken a look in the mirror.
I narrow my eyes at the smirking faces while I take a few sips of my latte. I’m going to need all the caffeine that I can get to deal with this trio. “Don’t make me take back all the nice things that I’ve said about you girls.”
Missy grabs her chest dramatically. “The evil step-mother said nice things about us?” She looks at the other two of her triad. “That just can’t be true.”
“Pshhh, please,” I drawl. “you three are evil. If anything, I’m a saint doomed to deal with the future brides of Satan.”
Becca nods her head thoughtfully. “He’s probably the only one who would be able to deal
