the toilets just so they don’t have to be near her. The bathrooms at the club house are so clean that you could eat off the floors.”
“Didn’t she ditch a few of the prospects at a gay strip club not too long ago?” Danny laughs.
Edge nods his head with an evil smirk. “Uh-huh. Those boys haven’t been the same since.”
“That’s so mean. Those poor guys.” Kealy states while twirling her own glass around.
“Nah, it’s good for them. Builds character.” Edge replies seriously.
“How could that possibly build character?” Kealy asks while alphabetizing her books. What a psycho, everyone knows that you put them in order by size.
Edge lowers his arms once he has the picture frame in place. He turns to Kealy, giving her his full attention. He crosses his arms over his chest and I don’t miss the tiny little sound that she makes. Judging from Aimee’s smirk she doesn’t either.
“They need to be able to handle anything that’s thrown at them. We don’t want guys around who are going to whine and complain about every little thing.” He grimaces. “Enough of the old timers do plenty of it. We don’t need any more of that shit.”
Kealy purses her lips and moves them from side to side. It’s amusing watching Edge track that movement like a hawk stalking a mouse. “It just seems mean, that’s all. There has to be a better way around that, instead of having them groped by a bunch of male strippers.”
“Giiiiirrrrl.” Brad drawls. “I have been to that club before. Trust me, those men are gorgeous.” He gives us a pout. “And sadly most of them are as straight as they come. If I know Dee, she probably paid some of the guys just to harass them for a chuckle. The woman is an evil genius like that.”
Danny snorts. “She probably didn’t even have to pay them. Almost everyone in town knows her reputation for being nuts. They probably just did her a solid to stay on her good side.”
The rest of the night pretty much continues with us finishing up moving everything around and then drinking way too much. Okay fine, us girls and Brad drank way too much. But in mine and Aimee’s defense, Danny and Declan did say that they had no problem only drinking one beer. I mean what girl is going to refuse and offer like that? Not this one, that’s for sure.
Although considering that I feel like a tractor trailer is currently driving through my head this morning, maybe I shouldn’t have imbibed so much last night.
Danny rolls over making the whole bed move. “Ack! Stop moving. You’re making my head move and I can’t handle that right now.” I grumble into my pillow with my eyes tightly shut. No need to see that evil bitch sunlight right now.
He chuckles darkly. “I told you to slow down last night. But no, you told me to be quiet because I’m a nurse and can handle my wine. How you being a nurse has anything to do with that, I have no clue. But you had your three buddies agreeing with you all night. I’m sure all you nurses probably feel spectacular this morning.”
“You’re talking like you have no interest in ever getting laid again.” I growl. Is he right? Sure. He definitely did tell me to slow down. But no one needs to be reminded of that when they’re on the brink of death. Stupid, annoying men.
“Considering how creative you were last night when we got home. I’m pretty sure that I can live off of that memory for a few days.”
“Will you stop talking?” I can feel my whole body flush. Lets just say that alcohol definitely lowers my inhibitions. It also seemed to make me oddly flexible. Although considering how much my body aches right now, that was probably a bad idea too. Note to self, never do reverse cowgirl and bend backwards to kiss your man.
He moves closer to me and rubs my hair. “What? That was a lot of fun. I especially liked the part where you let me get behind you while you only held onto the edge of the bed. We definitely got some good traction that way.”
“Please shut up.” I moan.
“Want me to get you some coffee and pain meds?” He laughs.
“Yes.”
He kisses the top of my head. “Alright party girl. I’ll be back in a few.”
I can feel him get out of bed and it’s a testament to how crappy I feel
