she’s flourishing even without school.
“And…”
Shit, there’s more. I can’t handle more.
“And I don’t know how I didn’t make the connection before, but I know Abri. Well, I don’t really know her, but I’ve met her a few times. Ren and Abri were friends in high school. I only saw Abri a handful of times, and we barely spoke the few times she was at my house, but anyway…it’s probably not important, I just thought you should know…”
If I don’t stop her, she’s going to keep rambling. As much as I love listening to her talk, I have to stop her turmoil.
“I’m sorry you ever had to meet Abri. Now or in the past. She’s not a nice person now. She was a better person before…” I can’t finish that sentence. Abri was a good person before me. Before I turned her into the evil she is today.
Mila touches my arm, bringing me back to the reality.
“Of course you can go this weekend if that’s what you want. I would love a chance to go to Aspen.”
She grins. “Wait…what?”
“I’m going with you.” I have to go. I might finally figure out the truth. I might find a way to get Abri out of my life. If Mila can’t help me, then maybe Ren has a key to Abri’s past to help me escape.
“No. Why would you want to go with me?”
“Because now that I’ve persuaded you to fuck me, I can’t go two days without it.” It’s mostly the truth, while still hiding my damn secret.
Mila tries to hide her smile, but she can’t. “You sure? My family is going to think we are dating.”
I kiss her nose. “Does it matter if they think we are together?”
“No, it doesn’t.” She pushes her skirt down and sits up as she runs her hand through her hair.
“Good, when are we leaving?”
“Tomorrow, after work.”
“I’ll drive.”
She shakes her head. “No, I’m not riding on your motorcycle for three hours. I’ll drive.”
“I have other vehicles than my motorcycle you know.”
“I know, but I want to drive. My Subaru runs just fine. You can chip in for gas.”
I grin like an idiot. “Fine.”
She pulls her hair up into a ponytail, tying it off and getting rid of the most obvious evidence that we just fucked, although she’s going to smell like me the rest of the day. Her body is going to glow and blush any time anyone speaks to her when they remind her of me. And when she speaks, everyone in the office will know it was her who I fucked, because no one could mistake her voice for anyone’s but her’s.
“I should get back to work.”
“Yes, you should. Your boss won’t like that you took an extra long lunch.”
She raises an eyebrow. “He won’t? I thought he would demand I take extra long lunches in the future.”
I stand, tucking myself back into my pants and walking over to her. I kiss her firmly, ending our teasing game.
“Get to work before your smart mouth gets you into more trouble.”
“Stop giving me ridiculous tasks to keep me away from you. I’m not getting your car washed again, or going to any more restaurants. I gained three pounds this week. I made sure to eat four meals a day. And I promise to lock my door, so Abri doesn’t barge in.”
I kiss her again quickly. “Good, now get your cute ass out of here before I fuck you again and lose all of my clients.”
She rolls her eyes. “Yes, sir.”
I shake my head as my cock comes to life again. “Of course, now you call me, sir.”
She unlocks the door as she bats her eyelashes at me. We both grin like idiots until Mila disappears to do whatever stupid tasks I listed for her to do today.
I wait about three seconds before I decide I should run after her and keep her locked in my office all day. But when I chase after her, she isn’t in her office.
Dammit, why did all of her tasks have to involve her leaving the office?
I change course and head to the bathroom to try to clean myself up so I might be able to get work done without smelling like her. I walk into the bathroom and head to the sink to wash her scent off my hands.
The door opens, and I don’t acknowledge whoever enters.
“I can’t believe you fucked her while still married to me,” Abri says.
My face hardens along with my heart. I’m pissed at Abri, but I’ve
