The beauty is not rare in Alaska, common occurrence in fact. Then we get to the difficult part. Alaska is the biggest state but also one of the least populated. It appears to be mostly wilderness. Hendrix prefers to be away from cities. Well, knowing what he is that only makes sense. So how do we find a werewolf in the Alaskan wilderness?”
“Find anything on Dubois in your research?”
“Not anything that would point to Hendrix or help us find him.”
“Well look up the other name, hold on let me get that spelling for you.” Halo looked back at his computer and a couple of minutes later read out the spelling to her.
“Ha! Gotcha! Well well, it turns out Livitsky isn’t hard to find at all. Livitsky Oil is huge in Alaska and the company owns over a million acres of land. Hold on.”
The only sound in the room was the dripping of the kitchen facet and the clicking of computer keys for a couple of minutes. “Alright. So according to this the only place Livitsky has any holdings is Alaska. Livitsky Oil is held by one Gammon Livitsky. Searching for more and gotcha. Gammon is married to an Amelia Livitsky. So let’s see if we can find out if this Amelia has a son. If she does, and he took his step-father’s name, oh, well now what is this? I think this is going to be a dead end.”
“What did you find?” Halo tried to peer over the back of the laptop until Gracie finally spun it back around.
Halo’s eyebrows rose. “That is too much man for me. And that woman is too young Hendrix’s mother even by adoption. Maybe an adopted brother? Check if this Gammon guy has a brother and go that route.”
Gracie spun the computer back around and looked at the couple a moment more before saying. “Hendrix is most probably from Alaska. Livitsky is not a common name. Let me go back to the company and see what I can find out.”
Halo went back to his search. Twenty minutes later Gracie let out a screech.
“Girlfriend, you better have good news cause you just cost me at least five years off my life and probably added an extra line to my forehead.”
“How long do werewolves live?”
“Did you seriously ask me how long a mythical monster that we didn’t know existed until this morning lives? Seriously?”
“Halo! Listen to this. A Hendrix and Amelia were added to the company almost forty years ago. Forty years. How old would you say that Amelia person looks?”
“My guess? Twenty-five max.”
“Oh no my friend, according to the company records Amelia was added as co-owner forty years ago and the heir to the throne is named Hendrix. Now, I don’t know about you but I put Hendrix at thirty max. So if Amelia married Gammon forty years ago and she looks twenty-five then I am guessing they don’t just share an oil company with Hendrix. I’m sorry, I don’t care how good your make-up skills are this woman would have to be at least sixty if she was twenty when she married him. Even if she was younger, say fifteen, which is just sick, but say she was young, she would have to be fifty-five by now.” Gracie pointed out.
“Wait a minute. Say for a minute this Hendrix and that Hendrix are the same, why would an oil tycoon who is also a werewolf be in Africa tracking down the scum of the Earth. In my mind werewolves are the evil ones. I think it is more likely that name is a cover for his job. You haven’t found a picture of the oil heir Hendrix yet? Rich people always have lots of pictures.”
“The picture I showed you was the only one I could find with Gammon and Amelia. He looked angry and according to this he lives in the middle of no where and no one is permitted to fly over his land. He managed to get the state to issue a no fly zone for anyone other than his people. So, middle of no where, doesn’t take pictures, rich, owns a large chunk of Alaska and no one is allowed to fly over. Werewolf territory?”
“When you put all that information out there it does change things a bit. Alright. Keep digging. I can’t find anything in San Fransisco for either car rentals or a hotel for either of the men. They won’t be in the States yet so maybe they are waiting
