eyes. “We’re doing yoga, not pole dancing for tips.”
I was learning that summer in the Seattle area was not quite like what I was used to. I intended to take advantage of every summer-like day that we had here in between the clouds and rain.
Maverik grunted, but I couldn’t see his eyes past the dark sunglasses he was wearing. Matt looked rather interested in Abby with her tight yoga pants and top that showed off her curvy figure.
“You gonna be around today?” Maverik asked without any inflection in his voice to tell me what the purpose behind his question was.
I shrugged. “Yeah, Abby and I will probably hang out by the pool later.” I cocked my hip and put a little extra sass in my voice. “Assuming that’s okay with Your Majesty?”
Maverik stared for another moment, then turned and walked away. Matt followed without comment, but Kingston smirked at us. “I appreciate you teaching the female population how to be more flexible, sis. Can I refer a couple more to you?”
Abby blushed and sat down on the mat.
“Go away, Kingston,” I ordered. “We’re busy.” He shrugged and sauntered off towards the other guys.
It didn’t take long for Abby and me to get back into the groove. I probably burned more calories laughing than doing any real exercise. She was more than happy to call an early end to our workout to change into our swimsuits and lounge by the pool.
“Not that you don’t look cute or anything,” Abby asked once we had assumed our lounging positions. “But why the one piece? You have the most banging bod I’ve ever seen. If I looked like that, I’d want to walk around naked all the time.”
I shrugged. “I’m comfortable like this.”
I slipped off the sandals I had been wearing, and Abby glanced down at my feet for a second before horror crossed her face. “What happened?” she asked in concern.
“What?” I frowned and glanced down. I had already covered up the worst of my injuries with medical tape and blue gel second skin squares.
“You mean my toes?” I shrugged. “That’s just the cost of being a dancer.”
My feet looked great in pointe shoes, but bare? It was a horror show.
Abby looked sick and pointed at my big toe. “It looks like someone ripped your toenail off with a set of pliers. I just watched Hostel the other day so I legit know about torture stuff.”
I laughed. “It fell off because of my brutal rehearsal schedule at the end of the school year. It’s already growing back. See?”
I pointed my toe at Abby, and she squealed.
“I should probably paint my other nails to hide the bruising and stuff, but the only people who usually see my bare feet are other dancers, and they’re all dealing with the same things.”
“Maybe we could get pedicures, and you could get like, a nail extension?” Abby said tentatively.
I giggled. “Nah, that would just mess me up more.”
The little hairs on the back of my neck stood up, and I immediately knew Maverik was near. I closed my eyes and tried to relax. Maybe he would just go away.
“Hey sis!” Kingston yelled as he sauntered up to us. “If you bring hot chicks in bikinis over here, you need to bring enough for everyone.”
Matt and Maverik swaggered behind him, shirtless and in their swim trunks, and I let out a sigh. Guess there was no chance of being left alone if they were going to join us out here.
I tried to keep my eyes off of their half-naked bodies, but it was impossible not to notice their sculpted muscles. Their swimsuits were slung low enough to reveal trim hips and abs that were begging to be licked. I jerked my eyes away from the golden skin on display and focused on Kingston.
“She’s not here for you,” I informed Kingston. “And don’t perv on my friends - there are enough other girls out there for you.”
“I’m just talking to her. Abby doesn’t mind, right, Abster?” Kingston sat as he sat down on the edge of her lounge chair, and brazenly looked her over.
“Get up, King,” Maverik ordered. “Abby’s going to be over here all the time now, and I don’t want to hear constant girl drama after you fuck her and then move onto someone else.”
“Wow, Maverik,” I said dryly. “You’re so welcoming to my friends. I have no idea why I wouldn’t want to invite more people over.”
Abby leaned up on her elbows to get a good view
