with each heave, that Lance suddenly realized why he was so into Kirk, the reason for this current obsession. It was because he hadn’t slept with him yet.
The reason that Lance never obsessed over other men, or developed any feelings to speak of, was that whenever he was attracted to another man, he slept with them almost right away. If he saw a guy he liked, and that guy liked him back, the odds were that they’d be fucking by the end of the day. Once that was done with, Lance would be over the guy and move on to the next. It was all so perfect.
But Kirk was different. He wasn’t the kind of guy to approach other men and flirt openly, to suggest drinks, to try and seduce. He was the kind of guy that liked for others to approach, to romance, and to take the reins. If Lance wanted Kirk, he was going to have to take him.
The workout lasted for fifty-minutes that morning. By the time Kirk was done, his knees were shaking, his body was covered in sweat, and he wore a huge smile. “What a lift,” Kirk whistled. He pulled his pants leg up and flexed his thigh.
“Looking good.” Lance ran his eyes up and down Kirk’s tight little frame. Yes... he was going to have to have him.
“What?” Kirk caught sight of Lance taking him in.
“Nothing,” Lance responded smoothly. “Just impressed with your gains is all.”
“Oh.” Kirk flexed his thigh some more. “Yeah, they’re coming along. I’m thinking I might compete in a body building show next month.”
“Oh, definitely. Totally ready,” Lance mocked. “Maybe the Olympia. Move over Shawn Roden.”
“I may as well,” Kirk sighed. “It’s about time they had someone with actual muscle up on that stage.”
Lance chuckled and shook his head. “Go take a shower, we’re done – but I’ll see you this afternoon.”
“Yes, sir – oh, wait.” Kirk turned back around. “I was thinking... I have something I wanted to show you. Can we go somewhere else? If you don’t mind?”
Lance tilted his head. Thought for a moment, “All right... where exactly?”
“It’s a surprise,” Kirk said excitedly. “But a good one – trust me.”
“I do.”
Kirk blushed and smiled. “Perfect. I’ll text you the address, yeah?”
“Can’t wait.”
Kirk continued to blush as he made for the locker room. Lance watched him the whole way too, and even winked when Kirk looked back as if to see if Lance was still watching. The tension between them was palpable.
As to what Kirk had planned this afternoon, Lance really wasn’t too fussed. The location of their hangout may have changed, but Lance’s intent had not. He was determined to get over Kirk the only way he knew how. Tonight, Lance was going to sleep with him.
Chapter Eleven
“You look fine,” Jessie groaned. “Seriously, the last five choices have been fine, you little stud muffin.”
“Fine?” Kirk’s face dropped and he turned on his best friend. “I don’t want to look fine. Fine isn’t good enough. I want to look... hot!”
“All right then, ‘Cleo, Bachelor of the Year 2020.’ You look so good that Lance is going to go down on you right in the middle of the museum. He won’t be able to help himself.”
Kirk offered a sarcastic smile. “And then we’ll fuck right next to the weapons display. Use the swords and spears as toys.”
Jessie cackled her delight. “Yes please – oh! Promise to get me a copy of the security tape after?” She fell back on the bed and laughed herself into a stupor
The location was Kirk’s bedroom. The time was five in the afternoon, fifteen minutes before he was set to meet Lance. And the situation? Kirk had to pick out the perfect outfit, lest he look like an absolute wreck, Lance shrug him off in disgust, and the world ends! Or something to that effect.
Ordinarily, this wouldn’t have been a problem. For the past two weeks now, Kirk and Lance had been meeting a couple times a week, always in the afternoon, and always at the same café. The meetings were casual, even friendly as the two discussed the gym, Kirk’s workout, and most importantly, Lance’s business idea. It was always a stress-free meeting too, rarely causing any anxiety whatsoever. But today was different.
The museum on Kirk’s campus, one that he had direct private access to, had recently acquired a brand-new exhibit. It was one dedicated entirely to Alexander the Great, one of Kirk’s personal heroes. The exhibit was set to be unveiled
