apparent to both of us that we wanted to continue seeing each other. So, we founded Burger Heaven and began dating secretly behind the scenes. Occasionally, we would find a woman and bring her in for a threesome, but no one’s really lasted very long. How many women would really be willing to date two men, let alone two men who are also in a relationship with each other?”
Nodding with wide eyes, I mull over their words.
“Well, I’m not sure. I think a lot of women would love to date you.”
They look at me wryly.
“Yeah, but do you think they would be open to the fact that we’re into each other too? That’s why we need a woman like you, Amelia. You’re open-minded and sweet. You’re okay with how people really are, and not how they feel forced to present themselves.”
I thought about that statement for a while.
“Yes, I’ve always been on the side of the underdog, but I wouldn’t say you guys are underdogs. You’re two wildly successful businessmen. Surely, there must be women lining up to date you.”
They shrug.
“Yes, but not the right ones. There are women who want us for our money; women who want us because of our business connections. But you, sweetheart, are a different matter. You’re interested for the right reasons.”
I throw them a grin.
“Oh really? But I’m here for an interview. That seems like making use of our family friendship.”
They throw their heads back and laugh, and again, I’m astonished by how handsome Reese and Ryan are. White teeth flash, and the two men are absolutely magnetic and charming. How I’m able to remember my name, I don’t even know.
Then again, I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen either of them with a girlfriend. Thinking about it, I’m pretty sure it’s been almost a decade. That’s a long time. Suddenly, a thought occurs to me and I ask, “Do you guys not want a relationship with a woman?”
Shaking his head, Ryan replies.
“Of course, we do. We’ve been looking for someone to add to our relationship for a while now, but like I said, it’s hard to find someone suitable. Her personality has to be right, and she needs to be intelligent and sassy at once. She can’t be afraid to call us out on our shit, but in a nice way, and not a mean way.”
Hesitantly I quietly ask, “Is that all? That’s a tall list of requirements.”
The two men shrug.
“No, it’s not,” Reese says. “It sounds like difficult criteria to meet, but with the right woman, it’s easy, and we think that woman could be you, sweetheart. We want someone who’s sweet with curves for days. We’ve known you for years now, Amelia, and you’re smart and feisty. You know what we like and what we don’t like, and aren’t afraid to throw your own opinion into the mix as well. Is this something you’d be interested in?”
Tilting my head, I think over Reese’s question. Am I okay with dating both of them knowing that they’re also dating each other? I’m fine with it, but there would be a lot of scandal. Could I deal with the side eyes and gossiping? What about someone commenting on my relationship and calling me amoral?
These thoughts flew through my head until I realized that Reese and Ryan were the first men who had made me feel loved and cherished; who seemed to respect me mentally while also loving and appreciating my body. What did it matter what others said, so long as I was happy? Looking at the two handsome men, I nod slowly.
“I think I’d like to try,” are my hesitant words. “I mean, I had a great time last night, and you’re right: we’ve always laughed a lot together. I think it’s worth it for us to see if this could become something real. But how does this work exactly? I’m obviously clueless when it comes to relationships, seeing that my last boyfriend was cheating on me for who knows how long. Plus I’ve never been in a relationship with more than one person. Is it like I’m dating each one of you separately? I’m a little confused.”
Ryan and Reese sit on the couch next to me, their massive forms sandwiching me from both sides.
“Well, there’s no book setting forth the rules. That’s up to us. So, if you have the time, we can start figuring it out right now, if you’d like.”
I bite my lip, blushing prettily.
“Yeah, I’d like that.”
Reese grins
