to deal with, from assistant coaches to the booster squad. But these brownies are a simple way to show him how much I love him. Seeing that it’s Tuesday, he should be getting off practice any minute now, so the brownies will be a perfect way to lift his spirits after what I’m sure was a grueling work-out. Coach sure knows how to run those boys ragged.
Imagining Roger’s face when I surprise him with the brownies, I begin arranging tissue and parchment paper in the Tupperware container. The tissue isn’t strictly necessary, but Roger likes it because he says it soaks up any excess grease. Besides, it adds a nice decorative touch.
Finally satisfied with how the brownies are presented, I head into the living room to grab my keys. Although it’s not too cold outside, I would rather not walk over to Roger’s house. Not that I’m scared of something happening to me; Wakesha is one of the safest suburbs in the city. It’s so safe, in fact, that no one even locks their doors anymore. No, the reason I decide to drive is that I don’t want to arrive at Roger’s house a sweaty mess. That’s not a good look for anyone, and when you have a few extra pounds like me, the perspiration can really become excessive.
Hopping into my car, I set off to surprise Roger with his goodies. Pulling up to the Moneys’ mansion, I’m once again in awe of how beautiful his house is. As one of the top lawyers in the city, Mrs. Money’s house reflects the success she’s worked so hard to achieve. She’s such an inspiration, and the way she’s accepted me as Roger’s girlfriend makes me feel like a welcome addition to the family. She’s always been very kind, even though I don’t look like the type of glossy girl Roger usually squires around.
Juggling the brownies in one hand, I use the other to knock on the door. Hearing no answer, I knock again. I guess I beat Roger home. I’ll just leave the brownies on the counter along with a note so that he knows I brought them over. Letting myself in, I put the brownies on the counter while I began searching for pen and paper. Finally finding them, I start jotting a quick note when I hear what can only be described as a muffled grunting.
What is that? I listen intently for a moment, but there’s no sound. I turn back to the note, pondering what to say. But then, it comes again. This time, I cower behind the kitchen island. Is there a burglar in the house? I don’t know what I should do in this situation. Should I call the police now, or wait until I’m a safe distance away? But what if they want a description of the person? It wouldn’t hurt to try to get closer to see if I can see the person to at least provide some sort of description. I don’t have to be stupid about it after all. I can stay in the shadows so the person can’t see me.
Grabbing my phone, I pre-dial 9-1-1 in case I need to quickly call for help. Walking as quietly as possible, I creep towards the stairs to get a closer look at whoever is trying to break into Roger’s house. As I start to go up the stairs, I realize that the muffled grunt is in fact a low, drawn out moan. That’s definitely not a burglar. Locking my phone so that I don’t accidentally call the police, I quietly climb the stairs. It’s bad, but my curiosity’s been aroused, and I’m going to see who it is.

The further I walk up the stairs, the louder the sounds become. Reaching the top, I can now clearly tell that what I’m hearing are loud sex sounds. At first, I’m mortified. Maybe Mrs. Money got home early, and she’s spending time with her new fiancé. I should leave immediately.
Yet, I know it’s not Mrs. Money. Roger’s mom works late hours as an attorney, and it’s too early for her to be home. Instead, I know what it is: it’s my boyfriend watching porn. Nothing wrong with that. A lot of teenage boys watch porn, and in fact, I’d be more surprised if Roger didn’t watch porn.
With a grin on my face, I quietly creep towards Roger’s room intending to catch him red-handed. You’d think he would be a little more discreet, given the loud moans
