I begin to recount all of the drama from last night with Roger. My friend is a street-smart cat, but even her eyes go round when I tell her the news.
“Are you fucking serious? Roger is fucking Carmen? Oh my god! You’re not fucking with me, are you?”
Shaking my head, Toni devolves into giggles. Once she finally stops giggling like a hyena, she squeals, “Ooh! I can’t wait until this gets out. It’s about time that selfish prick got his ass kicked.”
I mock frown at her.
“Toni, stop. It’s not our place to judge someone for following their hearts. We don’t know how this happened nor why, not to mention they aren’t the only people dabbling in something taboo and forbidden.”
Toni rolls her eyes at me.
“Amelia, please get off your high horse. Please. For me. We need to bring that assclown down for what he did to you.”
I grab Toni’s hand.
“Have I mentioned lately how much I love you, Antoinette?”
She giggles again.
“No seriously, Amelia. We need to plan our revenge on Roger. He’s such a freakin’ douche! Who does that? And then asks you to be his beard, no less?”
I nod, and then I squeeze Toni’s hand before continuing.
“Yes, but listen to me. I haven’t exactly been an angel either.” Glancing to the side, I whisper, “I made love to Reese Faraday and Ryan Simpson last night.”
This makes my friend stare at me.
“Come again? You mean your dad’s friends?”
I nod.
“Yeah, and it was really good, Toni. I did it with both of them, and it was so dirty and wrong, but I loved it.”
For the first time I can remember, Toni is shocked silent.
“Holy. Shit.”
I nod again.
“I know. It’s taboo and wrong, but it was amazing. They’re so caring, and they took care of me in every way. I mean, every way.”
My best friend stares at me, her blue eyes filled with wonder.
“Holy. Shit.”
I nod again.
“I know, right?”
Finally, my best friend snaps out of it. She sits up straight and demands.
“Spill right now. I didn’t even know you knew them that well. I mean, of course, I know you know Reese and Ryan because they’re your dad’s friends, and everyone knows them because they own Burger Heaven. But still! Was the sex good? They look like they would know exactly what to do with a woman’s body.”
Sighing with the memory, I pull my hand back as I sink back into the driver’s seat. Was the sex good? What kind of question was that?
Blushing a bit, I answer Toni’s question.
“To say the sex was good would be an understatement. It was mind-blowing.”
My friend’s eyes go wide.
“How mind-blowing are we talking right now? Are we talking realizing that the word “bed” actually looks like a bed, or that the numerical value of pi backwards spells pie, or Fourth of July fireworks, or skydiving without a parachute mind-blowing? These things matter, you know.”
I laugh at my friend’s silliness. I tell her about my experience, leaving out the details of how Ryan and Reese were together with each other.
“Definitely jumping out the side of a plane mind-blowing. Toni, I didn’t know I could feel that way. The heights they drove me to were unimaginable. By the end I was just one massive unending orgasm. They played my body like a violin knowing exactly how to tease and tantalize to make my body sing like a symphony. They work so well together, and yet Reese is hot and fast like fire whereas Ryan is calm and composed like cool water. He has a reserved undertone that you know could drive you crazy if he just let it out.”
Toni’s jaw is on the ground.
“Oh my God! Now you’ve got me hot! That sounds amazing! Tell me more!” she demands.
Laughing, I oblige.
“I don’t know what else there is to say. Their kisses lit me on fire, but that was nothing compared to how they devoured my pussy. It was like an all you can eat buffet down there. I didn’t know sex could be so good. Like I said, it was mind-blowing; so mind-blowing in fact, that I’ve seriously thought about asking for a repeat performance. But that’s not going to happen. It’s easy to do something taboo in the dark, but when daylight comes, you have to come to grips with the fact that some things are just wrong.”
My friend squints at me, her pretty blue eyes forming slits.
“What the hell are you talking about, Amelia? How can love ever be wrong?”
“Toni…don’t look at me like that.
