for the day for some spring cleaning. I watch as Ryan appears from the back. He sees me and lifts a hand in greeting before walking over to let me in.
Just like before, I marvel at his astonishing good looks. The dim interior of the restaurant made his hair look pitch black, as if it were absorbing light. But then his eyes pierced me, the shade of blue a perfect cobalt. Last of all, his body was hunky and broad, even casually outfitted in a work shirt and jeans.
Hell, add in the success his business had experienced and you had any woman’s perfect fantasy all wrapped up in one delicious package.
Opening the door, Ryan smiles.
“I’m glad you decided to come by. We were a little worried that you would bow out after last night.”
I try to look confident and lift my chin.
“Not at all. I’m a woman of my word, but I can come back if you like. I saw that you were closed down for cleaning.”
Chuckling, Ryan explains.
“There’s no need for that. We just put that up so we could have some privacy while we talk through what happens next.” Moving to the side, he held the door open while saying, “After you…”
Oh my god, they closed the store so that we could talk? That hardly seems necessary, but maybe I am important to them. Walking into Burger Heaven, I realize that it looks a little weird without all of the people swarming around enjoying their delicious food. I was quiet as I followed Ryan back to what I assumed was his office.
Opening a door on his left, I enter the spacious room, unsurprised to find Reese leaning against an oversized desk in the corner. The room itself is gorgeous, and not what you’d expect to find in the back of a Burger Heaven store. It reminds me of the CEO offices you always see on TV, with its plush carpet and warm tones. It has a look of comfort, while still demonstrating it was in fact a place of business.
“Hey sweetheart,” Reese greets me casually. “Find your way here, okay?”
I nod shyly.
“Yes, thanks.”
The two men grin at me.
“Take a seat, Amelia. Make yourself comfortable.”
Taking a second to sit on the comfortable chaise lounge across from the desk, I fold my hands in my lap as I say, “So…”
Almost in sync, Ryan and Reese repeat my word back to me. Fidgeting with my fingers, I look down and decide to jump straight into the deep end.
“Um, so do you guys have any regrets about last night?”
Looking up, I see them glance at each other with surprise before shaking their heads no. Reese looks dumbfounded.
“Absolutely not, Amelia. Making love to you last night was amazing. We both enjoyed worshipping your beautiful curves and watching how your body responded to the pleasure we were able to give you. I don’t know the last time I enjoyed something as much as I enjoyed watching you come apart for us. It was definitely something we would like to do again, and in fact, I haven’t been able to stop talking about it since last night.”
My face flushes with pleasure, and my heart slows a bit. I hadn’t realized just how on edge I’d been. Tilting my head, I ask, “But what about you two? Are you guys in a relationship? Have you always been bisexual? I must admit I was surprised when you kissed each other and then did … um, that.”
Watching me carefully, Ryan asks, “Was that a bad surprise?”
Rushing to reassure him, I answer.
“No, not at all. Just a surprise is all.”
Satisfied with my answer, Ryan begins answering my questions.
“We’ve been bisexual and in a relationship since college actually. It’s been a long time.”
I nod slowly.
“Does my dad know?”
Chuckling, Reese answered this time.
“No, because we never planned on telling anyone.” Seeing my shocked face, Reese hurries to explain. “You have to understand that when we met in college it was a time when LGBTQ rights were not as well developed as they are now. Particularly for two men on an athletic, male-dominated water polo team. We didn’t think our bisexuality would go over well with our teammates. So, for our safety and to protect our relationship, we decided to keep our attraction for one another a secret. This was made easier by the fact that we both dated women at the time.”
Taking over the story, Ryan adds, “We both thought this was just a college thing, but after graduation it became
