here. I may not understand how these men let their partners chain down their dicks, but I have come to think of them as family. I would do anything for them. I would kill for them, and I would die for them.
“What are you thinking about, brother?” Wolf asks.
Wolf is another man I don’t understand. I’ve known him for about six months now, and I have never seen him with a woman. Or a man.
“Romance,” I admit. “I don’t understand it.”
“I see,” he says. “I think romance is quite beautiful.”
“Not you, too,” I groan, causing Wolf to laugh.
“Unfortunately, no, not yet,” he says. “I haven’t found my soulmate yet.”
“Soulmate, huh? You are a romantic.”
I stand and pat Wolf on the shoulder.
“I’m out, brother,” I say, tossing my beer can in the trash. “I need to find a distraction.”
“Those distractions are going to cause you a great deal of pain one day,” Wolf says.
“Yeah, yeah.”
It’s not the first time I’ve heard that, and I’m sure it won’t be the last. The guys are always telling me that my dick will get me in trouble when I find a special someone. Well, I have news for them. I’ll never allow myself to be trapped by a woman.
My dick is free to fuck who I want, and there isn’t a single woman alive who can make me rethink my ways.
Or is there?
THE END
Author’s Note
Hey there,
Oh, my goodness, that was one heck of a story to write.
Can you believe that we’re almost finished with this series? Ink’s book is next, and it might be the last one. I haven’t completely decided if Wolf will get a book or not.
I want to thank each and every one of you. The world has gone through so much this past year (2020), and it has put a damper on all of us. But, every time I go to my reader’s group, I’m overwhelmed by how many people are out there waiting for me to finish the next book.
Without all of you and your constant support, I would not be able to continue doing what I love doing the most. And that is writing unrealistic love stories.
I really hope that you enjoyed Brick and Jessa’s story. I had some pretty significant doubts about halfway through this book and almost deleted the whole thing. I’m thrilled that I didn’t. Brick has always been one of my favorites, and I love that he and Jessa fought their way through to their HEA.
Several different parts of this book were hard to write. Especially the funeral bit. Most of you don’t know this, but I lost both of my parents within ten months of one another not very long ago. As I was writing about the funeral, I just opened that horrible memory of my own father’s funeral and wrote everything that happened to me. It was tough to write, but Brick and Jessa helped me through it. (Yeah, you know I talk to the voices in my head.)
I also want to thank Becky Rhodes and Cayla Alberton for helping me name the two beautiful horses that belong to Brick and Jessa. You ladies are awesome!
Reviews are an author’s best friend. It would mean a great deal to me if you would consider leaving a review on Amazon or Goodreads. Even just a few words would be amazing. I would absolutely love hearing what you have to say about Brick and Jessa’s story.
