name, but yet he was fighting… who was he fighting? Suddenly these questions started to come with answers as I remembered what had happened, or more importantly why it happened.
What had been my reason for taking back this piece of me, along with the Venom of God.
“Matthias.” The name escaped my mouth like I was spitting out venom trying to kill me. But nothing could kill me, nothing but another God. And as for Matthias… he didn't have what I had. For I had been born half Angel, half Vampire, and now I had the blood of a God added to that, no one was more powerful.
Lucifer had finally found his perfect creation. But then I knew that this was what he had always intended. It was why he allowed that blood to make its way down into my mother’s womb. He hadn't taken it all from her, the pure blood of Pertinax… no, instead he gave a piece of it to me, for I was to be the first God born. My mother with such a mix of supernatural blood, and the Venom of God in Lucius’ hand, had been the only things strong enough to contain it for me, until I had been ready. Until I had been strong enough to survive it. I knew now that if he had never taken it from me, then it would have ripped me apart as time went on. The power would have consumed me and turned me into something purely dangerous.
But I had grown up with love. I had grown up into being the nerdy funny, clumsy mortal that I was always intended to grow up to be. Otherwise, this power would have consumed me long ago, and now I was using it in the right way.
And it was time I started doing that.
For I was not the Queen of Sins, I was the Queen of Blood, and now I had the right one running within my veins!
This was when I finally came back to myself and looked around, seeing my father fighting Matthias. Someone who had grown in size and now looked like a demonic giant version of himself. But even my father was not strong enough, for Lucius too was trying to fight him but both of them kept on getting knocked back. My fear for them both, the two men I loved most in this world, and I could not stand the pain I would feel in losing them. So, before they could hurt themselves, I held them back with the thoughts in my mind.
They couldn't understand what was happening. I could still hear Lucius calling my name as if trying to get me out of this suspended state surrounded by red flames. So, I calmed my powers and let my body float down to the floor and as soon as my feet touched the ground, I felt centred. My body was back so that I could feel every aspect of it once more. I even shuddered and tried to suppress a giggle at the feeling.
Then, so no one else could get hurt, I created a barrier between us, and I could vaguely see that the war in the background had now ended. That the souls had been returned, meaning there were no more enemies left to fight other than this one.
Matthias would pay.
“Amelia?” Lucius said my name in question, and I walked closer to him and picked up the sword that he had dropped. Then I engulfed it in pretty blood red flames, and told him,
“I’ve got this, handsome.” Then I turned around and started to walk towards my enemy.
“Amelia, no!” Lucius cried my name in panic. So, I paused, stopping long enough to tell him,
“This is my destiny… it is… who I was born to be.” Then I walked towards Matthias, now seeing him controlling the ground and splitting it up, so that lava poured out. Then, when he saw me coming, he threw it my way but with a single hand, I lifted it up and the molten liquid stopped before it could touch me. I gathered it all up in my own hand without even needing to touch it, before I yelled over to him,
“Hey, dickhead, try absorbing this!” After this, I threw it at him, combined with my own energy, a power that hammered into him, knocking him back enough to bleed.
“Oh, wouldn’t you know, Gods can bleed after all,” I said, making him angry.
“IMPOSSIBLE, YOU ARE JUST A WOMAN!” he roared
