in the center. Logan stood up there watching her with the biggest grin on his face. But as Elvis led her closer, Riley realized that Knock and Cade both had their phones held up and pointed at her. Cade's camera was facing her, but Knock had his backwards, and Kitty's face filled the screen.
"Woo!" Kitty cheered, her voice coming across. Then she slapped both hands over her mouth.
"And I see we have an angel watching from heaven. How you doing, darlin'?" Elvis asked.
Riley couldn't help but laugh. This man had the mumbled voice, but he was certainly nothing like Elvis. He also didn't seem to care at all that the wedding was being streamed. He simply walked Riley up to Logan, handed her over and then had the couple stand there with their hands wrapped around her fake bouquet.
"Perfect," Riley whispered to Logan.
Then the man began to sing. He even got close to the right key a few times. At one point, Cade's smothered laugh became audible, and everyone in the room was smiling a bit too much. Then Elvis paused and began the actual ceremony. He spoke about commitment and loyalty. He skipped over all of the religious things Riley had dreaded in a formal wedding. Then, he looked at Logan.
"Do ya have a ring for this lovely lady?"
Logan pulled it out and slipped her engagement band back on her finger. Then he repeated after Elvis about how he'd love and treasure her, in good times and bad, in sickness and in health, and for richer or poorer. Then it was Riley's turn. She fumbled to get the neon band on Logan's finger, and her voice cracked when she said her vows, but not because she was nervous. No, it was because this was what she hadn't realized she'd been waiting for.
"And do you, Logan, take this woman to be yours, for now and forever, forsaking all others until the end of time?"
"I do," Logan said.
"Good answer," Elvis agreed. "And do you, Riley, take this man to be yours, for now and forever, forsaking all others until the end of time?"
"I definitely do," she agreed.
"Oh, that's the kind of spirit we like. Then, by the power granted to me by the State of Nevada, I proudly pronounce you man and wife. You may kiss the bride."
Logan stepped in and cupped the side of her face. "My wife," he breathed just before his mouth found hers.
There was something in his touch this time, some depth of emotion that Riley couldn't feel or see or taste, but she knew it. As her mouth met his, her hand hooked on the side of his neck, and their bodies pressed closer, it hung there between them. A bond that was almost tangible, maybe a little heavy, but warm and amazing at the same time.
It felt right. It felt permanent. It felt so wonderfully real that she kissed him a little harder and a little deeper. At some point, Elvis cleared his throat. Then Cade let out a shrill whistle. And finally, it was Kitty who called out from Knock's phone.
"Breathe, you two!"
Logan immediately laughed, breaking the kiss. "Didn't want to ruin the first kiss."
"I think you aced that one," Elvis assured him. Then he clasped Riley's shoulder on one side, Logan's on the other, and turned them both to where their witnesses sat. "And I am proud to present to you Mr. Logan Andrews and Mrs. Riley Andrews. We have a photo session for you both in ten minutes, so keep your clothes on a little longer."
"Andrews?" Kitty screamed. "Yes!"
"Means you're officially my brother-in-law now," Knock said. "Welcome to the family, Logan. You hurt my sister and I will destroy you."
"And I honestly believe you can do it, Knock. Especially with Cade's help." But he looked at the camera. "You're the one I'm really scared of, Kitty. But this means you're my sister now, so no killing me."
"Not yet," Kitty promised. "Go. Have your celebration. Get lots of pictures. And I need at least one with your Elvis in it!"
"Oh, we have a better Elvis for the pictures," the man said.
Riley just turned back to him. "I don't want a 'better Elvis.' I want you. I want the imperfectly perfect. I want the insanity of it all. Most of all, I want to remember the man who made my dream a reality. Please?"
"I'd be honored," he told her. "In truth, they don't really let me do weddings, but I heard someone requested a
