Now and forever, Zara. Always mine."
And the next time he buried herself in her body, she broke, screaming out his name. He felt her core clench, her slick heat feeling so good. Jason tried to ride her through it, but the moment her body gripped him like that, he was done. Letting out a deep groan, he pressed his face against her shoulder and lost the last of his control, throbbing inside her as he came.
Slowly, her hands moved to hug the back of his head, holding him there. Jason panted, struggling to catch his breath, but he didn't want to move. Right here, wrapped in her body, everything was perfect. The most beautiful woman he'd ever seen loved him, and he loved her more than life itself.
Eventually, he lifted his head to see her eyes. "I'm going to be a dad?"
"Yeah," she breathed. "And if I wasn't already pregnant, I think you would've made sure of it just then."
"Zara Raige," he whispered, reaching up to trace the line of her cheek. "My wife. The mother of my child. You..." His voice cracked and he used that as an excuse to slide out of her body and onto the bed beside her. Then he pulled her up against his side. "I thought I couldn't get any happier," he breathed, blinking his eyes because they were suddenly too damp, "but you found a way. God, you're going to be a beautiful mother. I love you so fucking much."
Chapter 40
After Cyn and Zara left, the party had really gotten started. Murder had been smart enough to save the top layer of the cake along with the topper. The rest was devoured quickly, with a lot of moaning and groaning about how good it was. Food had been consumed, and then the alcohol had taken over.
Right around midnight, Kate had kicked Knock and Cade out, because neither guy was completely dressed anymore and the boys were verging on public indecency. Riley and Logan hadn't been much better. Jeff - the developer, not the gamer - and Bradley had ended up in a corner laughing about something. Then there had been Rhaven.
Adam had subtly mentioned to Braden that they should take their fun upstairs before things got awkward, but in truth, Adam was more worried about one or all of them passing out. Rhaven was drunk. Not a little drunk, but the staggering on her high heels kind. Psyc was almost as bad. Braden had a smile stuck on his face and his eyes couldn't decide whether they wanted to devour Rhaven or Psyc, and Psyc didn't seem to care either.
Then, sometime around two in the morning - which was a lot later for most of these people because of their natural time zones, the room was finally quiet and almost everyone had left. Kate called in a few of the staff to deal with the mess. Adam told the last four - Dez, Chance, Mark, and Amy - to go back to their rooms so they could clean the place. Dez stuck her tongue out at him, but Amy got them all moving. Then Adam took his girlfriend upstairs, dreading the long ride because he was completely and totally exhausted, but in the happiest way possible.
"Well," Kate said when the elevator began to move, "I think that was pretty much perfect. You did good, Adam."
He just wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her back up against his chest. "I told you once that I like to spend money on my friends. Believe me yet?"
"Mhm," she said. "I also think that being outed has made it a little too easy for you, but it makes you happy."
"I never wanted to be rich," he admitted. "I wanted to be comfortable. I wanted to take care of my mom and siblings. My goal was just to get us all out of debt, and then, before I knew it, I'd made a million. Then another million. Now, I can't spend it fast enough, so I give it away."
She turned in his arms to face him. "Zara wanted to get married in Vegas so it wouldn't be a hassle. You made sure it was perfect. That? It's what makes you so amazing. Not because you're trying to show off, but because you did all of that to make their big day even better."
"It was a good wedding," he agreed. "I have never seen Cyn look so happy, and I've known that guy a while."
"And Bradley!" Kate gasped.
