swiped his eyes, blew his nose, tossed the tissue in the wastebasket and headed out the door. Bridget stepped out of her room at the same time and they walked to the elevator. Then, Josh stepped from his room and Axel smiled and took off running toward the stairs with Josh close behind. Last one ready for a mission had to buy the first drink when the mission was over. No way was he buying.
Luckily he had a slight lead over Josh, but Axel always was faster than Josh. He reached the bottom step and dropped his go bag first and Josh got to the bottom and said, "Shit, I lost last time, too."
They both turned to see Bridget still coming down the steps. Josh laughed. "I'm not last Bridget is. You're buying girl."
"Buying what?"
Axel laughed. "Last one ready for a mission has to buy the first drink once the mission is over. Or breakfast, or whatever is decided."
"I didn't know that." She snipped.
Josh laughed. "Now you do but you're still buying."
Axel said, “You’re just happy because it’s the first time you haven’t lost.”
Once she stepped on the bottom step they picked up their bags and headed toward the kitchen. Axel explained, "Mrs. James has little go bags for us with coffees, etc. Let's go stock up before we leave."
They packed up and left the house in Josh's truck for the airport. His heart was filled with so much love and light he felt buoyant.
A text came through from Gaige and Josh tapped the icon on his steering wheel so they could hear it.
"Another woman was reported missing outside the Chicago area. The significance is that this woman is the sister of Kash Elliott. Since he's on the run, the assumption is that they have his sister to keep him quiet."
"Those fuckers need to go down." Bridget snapped from the backseat.
"That they do, Bridget." He responded.
Josh pulled into the airport and parked in the empty hangar, the plane was already outside and ready to go.
He climbed out of the truck, opened the backdoor for Bridget, then walked to the back and pulled their go bags and her suitcase from the back. As Josh locked up, he and Bridget walked to the plane, Gavin was standing outside of the door waiting for them.
"Good evening, Mr. Dunbar. Mr. Vickers has communications for you on the table."

Axel had her sitting by the window again as he and Josh went over the paperwork Gavin had from Gaige for them in the plane. She sat quietly as they read, she'd question them incessantly if they didn't share with her what was happening.
Putting her brain in thinking mode she tried comparing her own kidnapping to that of the other women she'd been housed with. They'd each said they'd been drugged. Someone was getting the drugs from somewhere. They'd each been held in one place then transferred to another, and in some cases, to another, so they kept them moving to keep them confused and likely, so no one sent cops in for unusual noises or activity they felt was off.
They had at least two and maybe more transport vans, which meant they had enough people in each city they were operating in to make transportation easy, but that was a lot of trust to ensure all those people were quiet. They probably did just this sort of thing, stole family members or threatened them to keep them honest and working. Honest being used very loosely.
Axel finished reading his communication and handed it to her to read.
"If you have any questions let me know."
She read over the communications and most of which she already knew. The sister of Kash Elliott was 22 years old and taken as she left a night club outside of Chicago. The friend she was with was drugged but left lying on the sidewalk and found by some friends as they left the club. They were trying to get the girl's memory to come back to see if she saw anyone and could identify them.
The general area of Minneapolis that was the hot spot or where their intel was pointing was Carlsford. She wasn't familiar with that area. She'd only been to Minnesota once and that was a long time ago.
There was the information on Caulfield which they'd already gone over and some history on Yvette's incident with him. She read that because she'd only been given the basics of it all. Yvette had been through a lot.
Once she'd finished reading, Axel asked,
