and he was amazing, and I didn't know what was going to happen next, but for now this was enough. We were just going to take one day at a time and hopefully, eventually, we'd end up in someplace really amazing because I had a feeling that this was the real deal.
Chapter 29
Ethan
Two months later
"So, how's it going?" Harry opened the door to his magnificent apartment and let me and Molly in. "I heard Victoria is coming back soon?"
"Yep, she is," I grinned at him, giving him a quick hug before I walked over and hugged Sarah.
"So, are you guys going to stay there, or?" I looked over at Molly as Harry questioned me, seeing if she wanted to tell everyone the news.
"We're going to move into our own place," Molly said with a small smile. "Not into Ethan's penthouse, because that's just far too big and ostentatious for someone like me, but we're going to get an apartment together that we can both afford." She grinned. "Well, that he can afford more than me." I laughed.
"And guess where it's going to be, bro?"
"Where?" Harry said.
"Brooklyn."
"What?" he sounded shocked. "You're not moving to Brooklyn, are you?"
"I guess we are for a year. Molly has taken a liking to it, and who am I to say no?"
"Wow," Sarah looked shocked. "I never thought you'd be a Brooklyn boy."
"I'm not going to be a Brooklyn boy. I'm just going to live there for a year because that's what Molly wants, and I want to make her happy," I said softly, staring over at my girlfriend. I couldn't believe that we'd only known each other for four months and yet here she was, my beautiful girlfriend, and here we were having dinner at my older brother's apartment.
"So, I've got some information," I said to Harry softly. "About the company."
"Oh yeah? You figured it out finally?"
"What do you mean finally? I was working by myself and I had very limited information and-"
"I know, I know," Harry grinned. "You've done an amazing job. In fact," he said softly, "you've been so good at it that-"
"Oh gosh, what?" I paused. "Do not tell me what I think you're going to tell me."
"What do you think I'm going to tell you, bro?"
"You are about to purchase another company and you want me to go undercover and see what the real story is?"
"How did you know?"
He looked surprised. "Because I know you, and I'll do it."
"You will. What?"
"I found that I'm actually really good at this work and I enjoy it. I mean, I don't enjoy the lying and being secretive, but I enjoy the figuring out what's really going on."
"You're not going to flirt with anyone at the new company though." Molly walked over to me and stopped in front of me. "If I hear you're flirting or taking anyone to lunch or-"
"Don't worry, darling, I wouldn't do that to you." I leaned forward and gave her a quick kiss. "You know I have eyes only for you, my beautiful, curly-haired princess."
"Uh-huh, I think you're obsessed with my hair. You know that, right?"
I'm not obsessed with only your hair. I'm obsessed with of your eyes and your ass and your boobs and-"
"Okay, guys," Sarah laughed. She walked over to Harry and put her hand on his shoulder. “I'm so happy that he's found someone.”
"I'm here, you know, I can hear you."
"Well, I'm so happy you found someone," Sarah said with a grin. "Now you understand what Harry and I were talking about when we said we wanted you to find love."
"What?" I glared at her. Molly and I hadn’t actually exchanged the L word yet, even though I did love her. In fact, it was something that I was going to tell her later on tonight, and here Sarah was spoiling it.
"Oops, come on, Harry, help me in the kitchen." She grabbed him quickly and they hurried away.
I looked down at Molly and she was laughing. "What's so funny."
"You're funny," she said. “Did Sarah just make you uncomfortable by saying that?"
"No, of course not." I glared at her. "Why would you think that?"
"I don't know, maybe because your face went red and you looked like you want to run out of the apartment."
"Do you really think that?" I gazed at her with as much love and adoration as I possibly could. "I know I haven't said it yet, and thanks to Sarah, she's ruined the moment because I was going to ask you later, but-"
"Ask me what
