wondering how much time I had left here and if a few more days of Tyler would be enough. It was hard to believe he was so nice considering how hot and successful he was, but so far, he was the man of my dreams. Gorgeous, rich, kind, gentle, and sexier than every Chippendales dancer all rolled into one. I would never have a man like him in my life again, and I had to figure out how to stay in Las Vegas as long as possible.
My phone rang just as I pulled into the studio’s parking lot, and I decided to ignore my father’s call. I couldn’t tell him I had to go because I was running late, so I’d just wait until we took a break and tell him we’d been busy. I stuffed my phone in my purse and hurried inside.
“Hi.” Lexi looked up from where she was thumbing through a magazine. “I take it last night was awesome?”
“Beyond awesome.”
She grinned at me.
“Where is everyone?” I asked, looking around.
“Tyler called and asked if we wanted breakfast, but we talked him into lunch, so I called in a big order and he’s picking it up. Bash, Stu, and Ford had a party last night, so when Tyler texted that he was running late, they all took extra time to wake up since they’d overslept, too.” Her eyes twinkled with amusement. “Which means it’s just you and me right now, girlfriend, and I want every detail.”
To my horror, my face got so hot I had to be blushing, and Lexi burst out laughing.
“You’ve done the horizontal rumba with Tyler freakin’ Thompson multiple times and now you’re blushing?” She shook her head.
“Shhh,” I whispered, looking around. “I wouldn’t put it past my father to send spies to see what I’m doing.”
Lexi opened her mouth but then closed it again. “Can I punch him in the dick next time I see him?”
Now I laughed, nodding. “Absolutely.”
“So, tell me everything! Hurry. I need details before the guys get here.”
“Well, he’s hung like the proverbial horse, and I came a bunch of times all night.”
She rolled her eyes. “Really? That’s all you’re going to tell me? You’re no fun at all.”
“You want details? Fine. He’s absolutely breathtaking naked, I can’t get enough when he kisses me, and being together is indescribably perfect. I can’t put it any other way.”
“I’m telling you, he’s the shit. One of the best guys I know. Don’t let him get away.”
I turned away, fidgeting with an invisible spot on my jeans. “You know that’s not possible. My dad won’t—”
“You’re twenty-five! Your dad has to give it a rest at some point.”
“My dad won’t rest until I’m married to someone he approves of, who will allow him to continue having access to my money.”
“I thought your dad got the conservatorship to protect you. Is he after your money?”
“He only wants to protect me so I’m able to continue making money he can use for himself. I don’t think he actually gives a shit about me anymore.”
Lexi stared at me. “And there’s nothing you can do?”
“I can hire a lawyer and try to get a judge to release me from the conservatorship, but I’m terrified of what Dad will do if I lose. He already keeps me on a budget, makes sure I don’t have any friends, and controls my appearances. If I take him to court and lose, he could completely cut me off from my own money, or god forbid, have me locked up again.”
“I truly can’t wrap my head around the way he treats you,” Lexi said softly. “But I want you to know, if you’re ever in a position where you need help, all you have to do is call. I can buy you a plane ticket or send money, no questions asked.”
“Thank you,” I whispered, emotional. “I really don’t understand why everyone is so nice to me. You and Tyler and the guys have been wonderful—and you don’t even really know me.”
“I know you enough, and I’d say Tyler knows you pretty damn well after the last few days.”
We’d just started giggling when Tyler came in, carrying three big bags of food.
“Damn, did we buy enough for the whole studio?” Lexi asked as we took the bags from him and started setting them out.
“Maybe. Everyone sounded hungover and hungry.” He looked like he was about to say something else when my phone rang again. I sighed, figuring this was the perfect time to answer since
