started heading over to the hot drink tent, I pulled out my own phone and checked the time. It had somehow already hit nine twenty. Shit.
“Hey, would you be super upset if we had to come back another time for the sleigh ride?” I asked while wrapping my arms around Sawyer’s chest. I put my head beside his and held out my own phone, snapping another picture of the two of us.
“I wouldn’t. I’m actually tired honestly. It’s been a long week, and we have a long day ahead of us tomorrow.”
“You sure? Do you want to just leave?” I asked. We were fifth in line for drinks, but the line was moving quickly. There were only two choices: hot chocolate or cider.
“Something warm to drink would be good. And I was wondering something,” Sawyer said. He turned and wrapped his arms around my waist and buried his face in my neck.
“What’s that?” The line moved, so I shuffled my way forward a bit and glared at the couple who were giving Sawyer and me a dirty look. They needed to get over themselves.
“Well, if you don’t have a Christmas tree in your place, how are you going to unwrap your present from me?” Sawyer asked. He had a look of pure trouble on his face that told me I definitely wanted to know what I was going to be unwrapping.
“Seriously? You can’t just give it to me?” I asked and shuffled forward a bit more again.
“I could. But I don’t know about you, but I think it’d be more fun to unwrap certain things under the tree. Wouldn’t it?”
I leaned back so I could see Sawyer’s face. “What kind of gift are we talking about here?” I asked. I knew he’d given up entirely too easily earlier.
“The kind we probably shouldn’t be talking about at a family-friendly thing,” Sawyer whispered in my ear. And we were out of here. We didn’t have long before the tree lot closed, so I jumped out of line and pulled Sawyer along with me. He laughed and we stumbled a bit getting out of the tent but caught ourselves, and then we were walking as fast as we could to the other side of the festival.
“What’s the hurry?” Sawyer asked.
“You wanted a Christmas tree. You’ve given me a great incentive to get one, so we’re going to go pick one out.”
Sawyer laughed again. “It could wait until we come back, you know.”
“Naw, all of the good ones are going to be gone soon. We need to pick one out now,” I said as we reached the tree lot. They were closing in ten minutes, so we didn’t have a whole lot of time. “Okay, we can’t cut our own because we don’t have time. But there are some good looking precuts here,” I said as I slowly walked through the rows of precut trees with Sawyer beside me.
“Okay. Size?”
I blinked at Sawyer, my mind completely in the gutter where he’d put it minutes ago.
“Size of tree, Hudson. I happen to know your dick size already,” Sawyer said. I frantically looked around and noticed we were, thankfully, alone. When I met Sawyer’s eyes, his were rounded, and his free hand was covering his mouth.
“I cannot believe I said that out loud.” Sawyer’s hand was still mostly covering his mouth, so the words were muffled, but I understood completely.
I leaned in close to his ear and gave it a quick little nibble. “I’m glad you’re aware of my dick size because the hope is that within the hour, it’s going to be buried in your body somewhere,” I whispered. Sawyer groaned and blindly reached out and grabbed the tree to his left.
“This tree looks good, doesn’t it? I think it’s perfect for your place.”
I took a step back and went as far as letting go of Sawyer’s hand and gave the tree a good once-over. It actually wasn’t bad. It was about six foot tall, was well shaped, yet wasn’t too big and full. Somehow, Sawyer had picked a perfect tree for the apartment.
“It’s not bad at all. Come on,” I said and reached inside and picked up the tree. I started back for the front, Sawyer walking beside me.
“It could have waited. I mean, we could have come back tomorrow, you know.”
“True. But what if this one was gone by then? Then we would have to find a different one. And I might not like it as much. This is the one you picked
