twenty minutes and I’m getting tired of finding new words for ‘stuck’ because that one isn’t good enough.”
Silas rolled his eyes. “Yep, that's Dakota for you.”
He had no idea.
“Come on.” Leading me in, Silas grunted as we walked in on Shane and Russ trying to convince their subs that Dakota wasn’t magic and hadn’t disappeared. Jonah seemed to be near tears and Wade was sitting on the floor looking like the world was coming to an end.
Were we going to do this every week? Every few weeks?
My vote was going to be at least once a month.
I barely held back more laughter as I made my way through the room, giving everyone a little wave. Russ huffed and frowned at me. “Where is Dakota?”
Hadn’t anyone actually looked for him?
“He seems to have slipped off the toilet and wedged himself against the wall. I was called in to get him unstuck.” Of course, that had Dakota’s voice coming loudly through the phone. He was taking issue with the word unstuck now.
In fact, we were at the point where he was demanding that it be taken out of the dictionary.
“I’ll be right back.” Still grinning, because the entire situation was just fabulous, I quickly glanced in what seemed to be a hall bathroom. Shane was sighing and complaining that he liked them better when they were horny and just the floor was moving.
They clearly didn’t appreciate the creativity they were surrounded by.
The small cottagey layout didn’t leave that many places where Dakota could be hiding. Wandering into what had to be the master bedroom judging by the large bed and lived-in look, I quickly identified the bathroom door and knocked. “Dakota?”
His voice came through the phone and the doorway. “Yes.”
I was trying not to laugh, but he made it hard with his pleasant but slightly impatient voice. “Can I come in?”
I wasn’t sure what he’d been doing when he’d called me earlier, but I couldn’t imagine him doing anything intimate on the phone…right?
“You’re here?” He sighed. “That’s good because I have to piss now.”
That really didn’t answer my mental wanderings, but I supposed I would figure it out. “Yes, I’m here.”
Slowly opening the door, I peeked my head in, wanting to make sure I wouldn’t smack him with the door. At first I didn’t see him, but as I stepped deeper into the large master bath, I finally saw him tucked into the corner of the room.
Yep, he was stuck…or at least stuck for a drunk person.
If he’d been sober, I knew he could’ve gotten out, but he was clearly three sheets to the wind. “You’re stuck.”
He rolled his eyes as he stared up at me. “You’re a genius.”
Laughing, I shook my finger. “Is that how you talk to your Dom?”
He seemed to seriously consider that question as I disconnected the phone and shoved it in my pocket. Before he could come up with an answer, I reached down and shifted him so he could slide out of the small space.
Wade took that moment to walk into the bathroom, relief pouring from him. “You’re safe. Silas said it was magic and that we hadn’t lost you and I couldn’t figure out how that worked.”
They were fabulous.
“No magic.” I smiled reassuringly at Wade as he swayed precariously back and forth. “He’s just stuck.”
I was a bit worried that if Wade tipped over we’d all end up stuck, so I took his hand and braced him against the sink.
“Oh.” His eyes widened like he was surprised it was there. “Thank you.”
The worried omega made me want to pull him into my arms and tell him it would be okay, but I didn’t know him well enough to think that was a good idea.
Turning back to Dakota, I smiled. “Next time tell someone where you're going.”
He snorted. “I should not have to tell someone I’m calling my Dom to complain.”
I couldn’t find a good response to that, so I leaned down and shifted his torso so he could move easier. When he could safely wiggle out and not damage the toilet, I pulled him up and helped him to stand. “There you go.”
Dakota beamed as Wade threw his arms around both of us. “That’s wonderful. But now I have to piss.”
I gave up trying not to laugh and wrapped an arm around Wade. Nodding, I pointed toward the door. “We’ll wait for you in the bedroom, but you have to promise to be careful.”
Nodding seriously, Dakota patted my chest. “You won’t have to save me
