room and you could see what was happening in there. Off to the side was a small hallway leading to stairs which went upstairs where there were three bedrooms. The master taking up one whole part of the house itself. The outside was immaculate with the full front porch and porch swing. I could see myself just sitting there reading one of my books or drawing.
Coyote had seen my face light up, turned to the realtor. “We’ll take it,” he said and went about doing the work. At the time I didn’t realize he intended for me to move in with him and Cody. Well that was until we’d gotten to the clubhouse and he told his brothers him and I just bought a house together. Talk about huge announcement and we hadn’t even had sex yet.
“I’m not gonna tell you again woman. Either get out here or I’m breaking the damn door down, Tinsley.” I jump at the pounding on the door.
Okay, so after we’d bought the house together and we still hadn’t done anything, the other ol’ ladies decided an intervention was needed. Why I don’t know. Probably because I’d become tense as hell and was growing tired of hearing the clubwhores walking around talking about Coyote as if they had fucked him constantly over the last month.
So, Victoria hired me, with Tracker and Stoney’s blessing of course, because no one gets hired without their approval. She’d told them what we were doing, I swear I didn’t know what to think at first about the plan. Stoney and Tracker both looked at me with a lifted brow, asked if this is what I wanted to do. When I nodded, they grinned and looked at each other.
“This is gonna be fuckin’ fun,” Tracker said to Stoney.
“Damn straight,” Stoney said before turning his attention back to me. “Just gotta say one thing, because all the brothers will be there for this shit. Don’t take the top off.”
“Don’t worry Stoney, she won’t be. In fact, I highly doubt she’ll make it past the first dance,” Victoria giggled, leaned into Tracker, her ol’ man, and kissed him.
So that brought us to tonight.
Momma B offered to watch all the kids after the guys left for Dolly’s Playhouse. According to Coyote, they were having some type of party there tonight and it was mandatory for him to be there. Stoney’s orders, I suppose considering they were closed to the public for the night.
Worked for me, at least then I didn’t have to worry about random men I didn’t know seeing me clad in barely anything.
By the time we’d pulled up to Dolly’s Playhouse, I was nervous as I could be. I almost and I mean almost backed out. Then I saw some of the strippers mingling around the table Coyote was sitting at with Shadow and Venom. One of them had their arms wrapped around his shoulders and it pissed me off. Like seriously pissed me off. It took Raven, Rachel, and Victoria to get me to calm down enough to do this. What was going on was going to be over with once I got on that stage.
Victoria worked it out so that when I first got out there the lights were dimmed so you couldn’t see my face. Oh, and I can’t forget that Rachel recruited the girls from Twister’s charter. Emerson had come up and made my hair look amazing as hell working her magic. This weekend worked out great for her because she’d been upset about her best friend up and leaving without word.
Looking in the mirror, I saw Emerson’s work. I barely even recognize the woman staring back at me. The woman in the mirror looked confident, beautiful, and ready to take on the world. Only in reality I didn’t think that was me. But I was ready to at least try.
When the DJ called out the cue for me to make my way toward the stage, I took in a much-needed breath.
“You got this,” Victoria said giving my shoulder a squeeze, the rest of the women had gone to sit with their men. Who’d been surprised to see them. I saw this from where I was standing as they shooed the strippers away from each of their men.
Nodding, I took the first steps as the lights went low and ‘Shatter Me’ by Lindsey Stirling started.
I knew what I intended to do, I’d never danced with a pole before, but I did ballet growing up. Twirling my way to
