like that while your cock’s in my mouth.”
I fell to the right and pulled on his arm until he got the picture and sidled up to me so we lay face-to-face. I slipped a hand at the back of his head and tangled my fingers in his hair as I brought his face close to mine.
He bridged the gap and kissed me. Our kisses were lazy, unhurried, and steamless but sweet. We were both spent but didn’t seem to want to part just yet.
“What took you so long?” I figured with us both being so mellow, now was the best time to bring up the subject.
“Trying to do the right thing for a change.” He nuzzled my neck. Postclimactic Charles was a cuddle slut. He didn’t even seem to realize how much he was touching me, and I wouldn’t be the one to point it out.
I liked this side of him. His leg hitched over my hip, and I placed a hand along his thigh, holding him in place. God, he felt good against me. Just right.
“So are we done trying to do the right thing?”
His lips stopped where they were pressed to my neck. He leaned back and frowned at me. “You think we’re doing the wrong thing?”
“Does it feel wrong?”
“I haven’t felt like this in a long time.” Then as if he realized what he’d just confessed, he buried his face back into my neck.
This was the businessman who had a billion-dollar company. A man whose name was recognized in more than this state. And he’d let his guard down with me.
“I can tell you this much, my pet.” I stroked his hair. “No more running. No more avoiding this.”
“You don’t mind that we have to keep this a secret?” His words came out muffled against my skin.
“No. I go through life hiding my Dom side from the rest of the world. This won’t be different.”
It wouldn’t be any different, would it? It didn’t matter that I’d have to see Charles at family gatherings and act like we barely knew each other. All that was important was us having this.
“Because we can’t ever have Declan or Owen find out about this. Ever.”
His body went rigid against mine, and I continued stroking his hair. “Relax, they won’t. But what about Poppy?”
He let out a groan. “Poppy’s the least of our concerns. We live separate lives, only together for the baby’s sake.”
The baby. Another matter we hadn’t yet discussed, but we had time. For now, this was enough, knowing he wasn’t running out on me again. I’d have time enough to show him later that we could be together.
I’d have time enough to tell him how much I adored him. In the meantime, I was happy to keep our secrets to avoid the impending scandal that would ensue should anyone find out about us.

Love’s true test sometimes is a scandal.
Charles knows his affair with August is the most scandalous thing he’s ever done. It has the potential to ruin his relationship with the people who matter most to him. Worse, the expiration date he’s tacked on their affair has lost its meaning since he’s gone and fallen in love with his Sir.
August believes there’s a future for him and Charles. He might not be able to see it now, but he’s not prepared to let Charles go. Not when Charles has brought back something to his life he thought he’d lost forever.
When an anonymous person threatens to expose their affair, Charles is given an ultimatum. Will he do the right thing and walk away from a love he never thought he would ever experience again? Or will he choose August and damn the consequences?
Scandal is the final book in the Secrets & Scandal duology. It contains a Sir badly in need of aftercare, scandalous secrets, and a precious baby girl who puts everything back into perspective.

Chapter 1
Charles
I’d been sitting in a meeting with Declan and a few members of the board thinking about my plans for tonight when my phone buzzed. It wasn’t really my fault that I looked. The meeting was in session for two
