the table pulls out a matching keycard.
“Could you and Em have gotten a smaller place for just the two of you?” I nod. “Sure. But this”—I circle a finger, gesturing to the penthouse around us—“makes it so I don’t have to worry about what could happen if you left to hang with the others.”
The Logans aren’t the only ones who worry. Before we came up with this plan, E made more than a few passing comments about Kay living at home again.
“Such a caveman.” That familiar sassy sparkle enters her gray eyes, and that sense of home that has nothing to do with the apartment and everything to do with this woman hits bone deep.
This…this feeling is why I need another year to bask in it. This person is why I gathered all appropriate parties to make it possible to spend as much time together as allowed.
Like I explained—being here in this place makes it possible for our family to just be.
It lets the girls drink wine and watch their cheesy rom-coms. We even have a room for Tessa and Savvy to stay in should they need to.
CK has his setup to work on his video game, and maybe now that we’re roommates, he’ll let more than G play it.
The guys and I won’t have to battle for time to watch game film at home, and Noah will have a place to chill when he visits when he’s not playing for Washington.
“Want to know the best thing about this place?” I lean in, my lips brushing the skin behind her ear while the rest of our friends start to pass the dinner dishes around.
“You mean it’s not the king-sized bed in what I assume is our bedroom?”
I growl low in my throat. Oh yes, I very much like that part, but no. What I’m thinking of is a little more Kay specific.
“With all of us living here, Herkie can too.” Kay sucks in a breath, pulling back, her eyes wide and showing me a full ring of white around her irises. “And if for some reason one of us can’t be around to take care of him, I have a list of dog walkers waiting for you to interview.”
Kay hooks a finger in the collar of my shirt, tugging me closer. The tip of her nose skims the line of my jaw, my was-denied-earlier dick starts stirring in my shorts and urging me to drag her back upstairs and christen our new bedroom.
“I’ll never admit this to him”—soft lips brush the shell of my ear, making that need-to-fuck-her situation grow even more urgent—“but I have a feeling Trav’s reality-show-worthy assessment of this isn’t going to be far off.”
My arms curls around her back and I tuck her in close, burying my face in her hair to stifle my laughter. She is 100% correct.
And we thought this last year was crazy…

Randomness For My Readers
Okay, okay, okay! *holds up hands* Now before you go yelling at me I need you to trust me.
Yes…there’s technically wasn’t cliff, but I can hear you…things weren’t tied up for Mase and Kay in a neat little bow.
Here’s why…
When I first started writing their story over two years ago I knew these two would have a lot to say. So yes they have their HEA now…but since these two are by far my most talkative characters they have at least another book percolating for a future date. First though, we’ve got some others in the crew to explore.
Still I
