Moving On (Rolling Thunder #7) - P.J. Fiala Page 0,72
how to use this system, so I'd have the company come on out and give you training on it if needed."
Chase walked to the computer, shook the mouse and the screens lit up. He clicked a few times and was able to get a test bike up. He turned to them and said, "This is how you begin. I've not used this software before, but a little training and it'll be a cake walk."
She was so proud of him. Not only was he smokin' hot, but he was smart, too, and creative. Hell, he was the whole damned package.
She walked around the office while Chase and Gil chatted about budgets and bikes. Chase pulled out his note pad and showed Gil some of his designs and she listened as Gil praised them and told him how excited he'd be to showcase a Chase Matthews Design. They talked about timeframes for building and Chase would have one dedicated employee of his choosing to help him build and other miscellaneous things. There was a large window on one side of the office that looked out into a shop area and Gil told Chase that's where he'd build and bring his bikes to life.
"Let's go look," Gil said and they followed him out to the shop.
She stood back as Gil showed Chase around and gave him information about the equipment, the tools, and where the sheet metal was stored, and on and on. She watched Chase's face as it lit brighter and brighter as the meeting wore on. She knew he was sold. They were likely moving to Durango and she felt excited and then again, a little sad to leave behind all she knew especially Forget Me Nots and the wonderful people there who gave her a chance and taught her so much. But it was the right decision and a fresh start sounded absolutely wonderful.
Her phone chimed and she pulled it up to see an email reply from the realtor for the house. She had time this afternoon, did they?
She looked over at Chase as he smiled at Gil and they discussed something more. He was animated and, well, happy. Then it occurred to her that she hadn't seen him truly happy like this for a long-damned time. He needed the fresh start, too.
Typing out a response to the realtor, "Yes. How about 2:00?"
She sent the email and received a reply almost instantly. "Perfect. See you at the house."
She tucked her phone into her back pocket and Chase looked over at her. She winked and he smiled one of his biggest smiles and damnit if her panties didn't dampen.
Gil and Chase walked toward her, and Gil said, "LuAnn, I surely don't mean to ignore you, if you have questions, you should just blurt them out."
She giggled. "I'm fine, it's interesting."
Gil laughed. "I doubt it but it sure is nice of you to say." He began walking toward the door to the store. "Let's go and see the rest of the store."
They left the garage area and walked to the store and she couldn't believe the array of clothing, bike parts, signs, glasses and other bike related memorabilia he had stocked out there. She walked around and looked at the items and Gil came up beside her and said, "I'll find a place for you here if you want to work at Chief’s, LuAnn. Anything to keep our designer happy."
She smiled and turned to face Gil. "That's very kind of you, but I'd prefer to find a job outside of here. Please don't take offense, but I'm a florist and would like to stay in that field if possible."
"Well, I'll be danged. A florist. That's fantastic. I completely understand."
They visited a while longer, and Chase asked Gil numerous questions as they meandered around the store. They met many of the employees and a few customers and Gil had to excuse himself for a telephone call.
Chase walked up to her and put his arm around her. "Do you have questions?"
She looked up into his eyes. "Not a one. How about you?"
"Yes. How do you feel about moving to Durango?"

She smiled at him and looked deep into his eyes. "Is this what you want? Will you be happy here?"
"I swear to God, LuAnn, I will be so fucking happy here. This is like a dream come true. On top of designing, did you hear what he'll pay me? Double my salary at Rolling Thunder plus a commission on each bike sold. Plus, state of
