this was to me, and at the same time, how ashamed I was of my obsession for bondage. In the past, I’d revealed this fantasy to one of the females I used to date, and she’d looked at me like I was insane. None of the women I’d fucked before had agreed to do anything even remotely out of the ordinary. They all wanted simple, quick fucks. Even if we were shifters and our strength and stamina allowed us to do anything for hours on end, the females of my species were usually boring in bed. Not adventurous at all. They also thought highly of themselves, and they rarely allowed their men to do anything wicked to them. Especially when it came to bondage and power play. They were too proud to let their man tie them up and use them, even if it was just a game.
I didn’t want Rosalie to say “no”. She was my only chance at exploring these parts of myself and my sexuality that I’d always wanted to explore. I had to make it impossible for her to refuse. Besides, I was sure she was going to enjoy every second of it once she gave in and relinquished control. Not that she had much control, anyway…
“You should know that Brooks won’t forgive you easily. If ever. He is mad at you, mad at what happened,” I started as I proceeded to wash the rest of her. She was malleable in my expert hands. “He loved Krista. They weren’t soul mates, but they made it work… their relationship. She was the mother of his cub, and that meant a lot.”
“Soul mates… Bear shifters believe in soul mates? Because humans don’t. Not anymore.”
“Some of us do. I haven’t met mine yet, but I like to believe I will one day.”
“What about Brooks and Colt?”
I laughed. “Brooks had Krista, and that was enough for him. He’s down to earth. He’s seen too much in his life. He doesn’t believe in myths anymore. Colt… I don’t know about Colt. It’s hard to read him. He’s crazy, that I can say for sure. With him, it’s all about fucking, drinking, and more fucking. Dude can’t hold a job. I recently got him one at the company I work for, and he’s done okay so far, but I expect him to fuck up at any moment. He’s too chaotic to believe in anything, let alone soul mates.”
What was wrong with me? I was giving her too much information. Not that she could use it against us, but what was the point? It wasn’t like Brooks was going to want to keep her around.
“You’re close friends…”
“Yeah.” I rounded the tub and pulled her legs out of the water to wash her feet. “Childhood friends. We grew up in the north, then left our community when we figured out it couldn’t offer us anything. We decided to make our own fate. Too much drama where we were born and raised. The trailer park you saw when we brought you here was our idea. We wanted to build something of our own, away from the humans, but not far enough that we wouldn’t have access to their shops, job opportunities, and technology. We gathered some of our friends, and we settled here, where we’re away from prying eyes and close to nature. We shift in the woods when we need a break. Otherwise, we can mingle with humans, and as long as we keep our true nature in check, they won’t suspect a thing.”
“Wow! That sounds so good. You’re free.”
I smiled. “I guess. We’re not rich, and we don’t have many things. But we don’t want that, either. Freedom is more important.”
“I agree.”
She sounded wishful. We stared into each other’s eyes for a moment, and I realized she’d skillfully managed to derail the conversation. It was time to get back on track.
“I want to tie you up tonight.”
“Oh.”
“I mean… I’m sorry.” I shrugged theatrically. “But why not? Sooner or later, Brooks will want to get rid of you. We can have fun until then.”
She gulped. “Please don’t let him. I know he’s mad, but maybe… maybe he’ll change his mind if you talk to him.”
“I could talk to him…”
“Yes, please.”
I pulled at her toes, and she yelped. “If I do, do I get something in exchange?”
“Y-yes. I’ll let you tie me up. Whatever you want. I’m game.”
I smirked and ran a hand up her leg. “Brilliant decision on your part. You won’t regret it.”
