place and drove into her over and over, his balls hitting her ass with every stroke. He thought she might turn away, might decide watching wasn’t her thing, but her gaze was fixed on the vision on him taking her in long, hard thrusts.
Her eyes finally closed as she called out his name. He felt her climax as it overtook her. Her walls squeezed his cock as she rode out her orgasm. As it ebbed, he increased his in and out movement until he found his release. Their gazes met and held in their mirrored reflection. He laid his sweat-slick body on her and nuzzled into her hair.
“Thank god for your mother and sister-in-law.”
He whistled while watching the pancake batter bubble. A long run. Some hot pancakes. A sexy woman in his bed. Did life get any better than this?
“Argh. Tell me you aren’t a morning person.”
He turned around with a grin.
Perched on a stool, her head in her hands, Holly glared up at him.
“Oh God,” she said. “You’re a morning person. I hate morning people. Why can’t you be like normal people and sleep in?” She frowned. “Why are you all sweaty?”
Leaning over the bar, he kissed the tip of her nose. “Good morning. I’m sweaty because I did a seven-mile jog already.” He set a cup of coffee in front of her. “This should help.”
Her hands wrapped around the mug like a drowning victim with a life preserver. She lifted the cup to her nose and inhaled with a sigh. After a long sip, the corners of her full lips twisted up. “Thank you. You may live another five minutes.”
He laughed and set a plate of fresh pancakes slathered with butter in front of her. “Here. Eat.”
She poured about half a bottle of syrup over them and dug in. “Mmm,” she said around a mouthful. “So good.”
He cut a bite out of her stack and ate.
“Hey,” she protested. “Get your own. These are mine.”
With a snort, he took another bite. “These were mine until you showed up.”
“Such a gentleman,” she said as she lifted another pancake wedge to her mouth. “And a seven-mile jog? What time did you get up? Better still, what time is it?”
“A little before six.”
She groaned. “I need to get moving soon.”
“What time do you have to be on duty?”
“Seven. We’re all-hands-on-deck being that it’s Memorial Day and the last day for surfing there until fall.”
He shook his head. “Every fool and his cousin will be trying to get in the last ride today.”
“Yep. I dread it. You not going to come out today to catch some waves, are you?”
“I may take risks as a SEAL, but I’m not stupid. No, ma’am. You won’t find me within ten miles of a beach on Memorial Day.”
She sighed. “I hate to admit it, but I’m tired of this job. I love teaching the rest of the year, but taking this on in the summer has become more of a drag than it once was.”
“Last summer, then?”
With a shrug, she said, “Probably. Maybe. Depends.”
“Wow. Way to be decisive.”
She laughed. “I know. But Katie’s getting older and maybe I need to be around more. I’d like to teach her to surf. I mean, shouldn’t every California youth know how to surf?”
“I didn’t realize you could surf.”
“Probably because we never talked about it.” She took a long drink of coffee. “I admit, it’s been a while. My board hasn’t left storage in years. Heck, I’m sure I’d dunk the first time after so long. I guess you’ve been on the board since you could walk, right?”
“Hard to surf in Louisiana.” The words had left his mouth before he realized what he said. Why had he told her that? He was pretty sure no one, not even his team, realized he hadn’t grown up in California.
Her eyes opened with surprise. “I just assumed…”
He shrugged. “Been here so long that it’s the only place I call home.”
“Where in Louisiana?”
He turned away from her. “Someplace so small that no one has ever heard of it. Doesn’t matter really.” He turned back around and picked up the now empty plate. “More pancakes?”
“Gosh, no. I’m stuffed. They were great.” She drained her cup. “Okay, I have to get moving.”
He snagged her arm before she could stand. “I wish you could come back tonight.”
“Me, too.” She smiled and leaned forward to kiss him. “I enjoyed last night. Thanks.”
He smirked. “Which time?”
She slapped his wrist with a laugh and went back to the bedroom to dress.
His
