was beautiful.
“Get to class.” I panted. She lay still for another moment. I circled the desk and began putting back on my shirt. After a moment, she regained her composure and stood upright. I came back around and grabbed her books, holding them out to her. She took them, unable to look me in the eye and left the room as quickly as she could. I sat down on the edge of my desk to catch my breath. I was wrong. There was no forgetting about Emma. She has pushed her way into every fiber of my being and I couldn’t get enough of her.
Chapter Eight
Everything that had happened over the last few days had evaporated. My thoughts are consumed with Emma. I promised myself I wouldn’t touch her. I promised myself I wouldn’t hurt her but now it was inevitable. I completely lost control of myself and it felt incredible and heart breaking at the same time. I had already forgotten my last lesson. Respect. If I respected Emma I would have let her live her life free of me.
I made my way down the hall to leave for the day, lost in my own guilty thoughts.
“William!” Angela called from just outside of the office.
“Fuck” I cursed under my breath. “Not a good time, Angela.” I said, checking my watch to show her I was in a hurry.
“It will only take a minute. Let me walk you to your car.” She joined my side and we continued out to the parking lot. “Look, I’m sorry about the other night.” She began. My eyes quickly followed the scent of flowers that filled the air. Emma was perched on the curb, leafing through her textbooks.
“Don’t be sorry.” I said coldly. I didn’t care. Angela didn’t even register on the scale of things I gave a shit about. Right now, all I wanted to know is why Emma was sitting on the curb looking sad and forgotten. Where was her car? Had she wrecked it? Is that how she injured her arm?
“I don’t want you to be angry with me, William.” Angela looked genuinely concerned about my feelings. Too little, too late.
“I am fine. All good things must come to an end.” I said and kissed her lightly on the cheek. She stared at me for a moment, her expression blank. She struggled to regain her composure before she smiled and ducked inside of her car. I waited for her to pull out before heading back across the lot towards Emma who was deeply engrossed in her book.
“No ride?” I asked, startling her.
“My Aunt is hit and miss when it comes to responsibility.” She looked like she wanted to say more, but stopped short. She lives with her aunt? I wanted to know more. Where were her parents? Why wasn’t she driving? What the fuck did she do to her arm?
“I never miss.” Her green eyes burnt into mine. Her looking up at me was a sight to behold. Come on. I’ll take you home.” I turned and made my way back across the lot. I didn’t give her a chance to think about it. I wanted to be alone with her so I could find out more.
I opened the door for her and took her books. She looked like she was questioning whether or not to go with me. Part of me wished she would have said no. That’s right. Run the other way. She didn’t run. She slipped delicately into the front seat. I threw her books onto the back seat and slid in beside her. I was getting in way too deep with her and I knew it.
I sped out of the parking lot, trying to place as much distance between us and prying eyes as possible. As we reached the light, I realized she wasn’t wearing her seatbelt. Thoughts of her injured arm and missing vehicle filled my head. I leaned over her, inhaling the delicious scent of flowers as I grabbed the seatbelt and pulled it across her body.
“Wouldn’t want you to get hurt.” I had to smirk at those words coming from my mouth after I had bent her over my desk and spanked her. “What happened?” I asked glancing down at her pink bandage.
“Long story” She replied, averting my gaze. I had no patience for games. I was already pissed enough that I even cared.
“What happened?” I asked again, this time with irritation in my voice. I was not asking, I was demanding a response.
