I never did anything to be called into the headmaster’s office, so this was new and surprising to me.
“Please, just come into my office,” he repeated, holding out his hand to gesture the way to it.
I looked at Kennedy who was watching me with a questioning look, and when she raised her brows even higher, I let out a laugh.
“I did nothing wrong. He probably just wants to complain about my uniform,” I said, knowing I had pulled my skirt up a little too high this morning, feeling even more confident than ever.
“Well, whatever it is…please don’t provoke him. I don’t want you to be kicked out of here.”
I rolled my eyes at her words and shook my head. “I won’t get kicked out. Remember all the money my Dad put into my education. Besides, I’m at the top of my class, if not the whole freshman year.”
“You’re right. I forgot that hiding behind all that dirtiness is a very smart brain,” she said with a grin.
It was true, but just because I had enough knowledge and capability to finish college two years earlier, didn’t mean I always put those things to good use in my free time.
