the thought that she'd been found out scared the crap out of her. No matter what she'd promised Axel, she was not going to get captured again. Not without emptying her gun into one or more of these bastards.
She waited what seemed like an eternity, not wanting to say anything to Axel and Josh just yet for fear they'd be found out inside.
"Bridget, are you alright?"
Axel sounded worried.
"Yes. Someone is tapping on the truck. I don't know who it is because I'm under the damned blanket." she whispered.
"Two people are making out against the truck. You'll likely feel some rocking pretty soon the way they're going at it."
Josh interrupted. "Company's visiting with Number two."
The Tahoe began rocking and she kept her head low. Vacillating between irritation and interest she wrestled with what to do. She wasn’t going to be the one who caused them to be found out.
"Hey, go on and get out of here." A man with a broken accent yelled. She could tell by the sound of his voice that he was coming closer and she held her breath slightly afraid that he'd notice her.
"Fuck off, man." A male said.
"Get out of here you disgusting pigs. What do you say? Get a room."
"Mind your own business, Rusky." A woman said.
"Rusky? You think you're funny? I could kill you and no one would know."
The woman screamed and suddenly there was a fight going on right outside of the SUV. She heard scuffling and the occasional bump against the truck, punches were being thrown, etc. Her curiosity got the better of her.
"What's going on? These two out here are fighting with someone."
"We can see that. Looks like someone took offense to their public display."
"Sheesh."
She gave herself a moment to calm herself and soon the rocking and hitting outside stopped. Slowly lifting her head, she saw a man in his forties walking toward the bar with a woman and the couple that had been making out against the SUV walking toward the back of the parking lot. He was rubbing his face and she dabbed at the other side of his face with a tissue. Rough spot in town.
Josh's voice broke into her voyeurism. "Okay, look alive. Company is leaving."
Slowly turning her head to look out between the driver's seat and window again, she saw the first pair of men she'd spotted leaving the bar.
Then, chills ran the length of her body when she heard in a Ukrainian accent. "What you do here?"
Her heart raced and her breathing came in spurts as she realized they weren't outside the vehicle, but talking to Axel and Josh.
Axel tried being jovial. "Just having a drink, man. Can we buy you one?"
"No. Why you carry weapon?"
Josh chimed in. "We always carry, man. It's a way of life."
"We don't like here."
They were both quiet for a moment. Then Axel said, "No worries, we can just leave."
"Better go now."
Risking a peek at the door Bridget slowly rose from the backseat to peek through her sliver of space by the window. She could hear rustling and movement, but they weren't talking.
The bar door opened, and she watched as the guard turned to watch them, then spoke into his comm unit. As Axel and Josh walked toward the Tahoe, the bodyguard began following them.
"You're being followed by the bodyguard."
The door opened again, and another man walked out of the bar and began following them.
"Another man following you."
Her heart raced and she tried keeping a vigilant watch on them. If they were shot, what would happen? They'd all be killed. Axel turned and glanced briefly at Josh and both men slowed down. She blinked. They slowed down?
Just as the question went through her mind, she saw it happen. The two men following had caught up to Axel and Josh who both swung around and attacked their pursuers. Axel had the bodyguard on the ground and a few well-placed punches had him down for the count.
Josh was just as fast taking the other man out and securing him quickly, Axel and Josh headed for the SUV. Letting out a breath, she dared to relax when all hell broke loose.

The bodyguard Axel had left on the ground was on his feet, but Axel quickly spun around and caught the bodyguard by surprise with a solid blow to the jaw. When he stumbled back, Axel took advantage and jumped on him, bringing both of them down followed by a few more brutal blows rendering the bodyguard unconscious.
A quick look over his shoulder and
