enjoyed offering words of encouragement and little shooting techniques for some of the women. Win-win.
Sadly, she hoped she never needed to call upon these officers, but she was beginning to feel as though she'd need to call in a favor or two.
A text came in from Cobra and relief flooded through her.
"I can meet you."
Without thinking she looked up to see the woman looking back at her. Sliding her finger over the camera option on her phone, she raised her phone and snapped a picture of the woman before she turned around. If that woman was trying to intimidate her, she'd do the same in return.
Sending the picture to Cobra, she texted.
"This is the woman following me."
She then pointedly looked directly at the woman who had turned once more but this time she smiled at her. Clearly this made her uncomfortable because the dark-haired woman quickly turned her head and looked straight to the front of the plane.
Feeling rather proud of herself she texted her mom and told her she had a ride from the airport and not to bother coming to get her. The last thing she wanted was her mom and Aidyn in any compromising positions.
More passengers began walking to their respective seats and she felt somewhat relieved when an older couple came to sit next to her. Watching out the window of the plane as suitcases were loaded, she listened as the flight attendant began the rote safety precautions and how to put on your flotation device if they crashed in the water and the like. Since there wasn't a body of water between here and home, Bridget focused on what was happening today. First, one of Yvette's friends was missing and then she was being followed and now her cop friend, Jesson, said he was working on a missing person's case. Three strikes and you're out. Vigilance was her new way of life. At least until things settled down around her. She felt completely vulnerable without her weapon on her and she vowed that the next time she visited Sophie, she'd drive the four hours so she could travel with her safety device and not worry so much about the time she'd spend in the car.
A few chimes sounded and the fasten seatbelt and no electronic devices signs lit from overhead. The plane began backing from the terminal and she inhaled deeply and let it out slowly. She hated takeoffs the most, and her nerves already had been ratcheted up for close to an hour now and it was exhausting. Another hour and she'd be home. By the time she went to bed tonight, she'd feel safe and secure in her own home where she had plenty of protection around her.
Feeling as though she was being watched, she looked up at the woman one more time and had her photo snapped by the woman, who then sent her an evil smile that stretched across her face. So, they would be playing games through the flight.

The elevator ride to the lower level and the conference room seemed to take an eternity. How had he never noticed the slow pace of this elevator? It was maddening.
Finally reaching the conference room floor, there was one more below which housed their vehicles, he stepped from the elevator and turned right. Eating up the steps to reach the conference room he could hear the voices of his friends and teammates as he neared. Opening the frosted glass door, the first person he saw was a very pregnant Sophie, looking scared and uncomfortable.
Allowing his eyes to look around the room further, he saw Yvette, Skye, Megan, Roxanne, and the rest of his teammates, including Jax, who was due any minute now. He loved her as a person and co-operative, but he sure as fuck did not want to have to witness her giving birth to twins. Not now. Not ever.
Inhaling, he neared the conference room table, nodded to Gaige and waited for him to begin their meeting.
"Okay, here's what we have so far. Yvette's friend, Bethany has gone missing as of yesterday morning. We've recently found out that Skye's friend, Riah is now missing as well as Megan's friend, Carrie Gordon. And, Sophie's friend, Bridget, left the shower yesterday and texted Sophie that she was being followed. This is not a coincidence anymore. Someone is targeting people close to us. It could be to get our attention. It could be to piss us off. Both are working. What are your thoughts on
