as her gaze leveled on my shaft. It throbbed again at her attention, growing for her pleasure. She wiggled—the seductive movement pulling her dress up her waist to reveal the wet spot between her legs. We were never going to make it off the couch if one of us didn’t make a move.
“There is something about you, woman, that drives me absolutely wild, do you know that?”
“I can say the same thing about you. If you don’t go get dressed, we aren’t going to make it to dinner at all.”
“I was just thinking the same thing, but maybe that isn’t such a bad thing. I wouldn’t mind a night of this instead.”
Stacy laughed. “I thought we were getting to know each other as co-parents, remember? We are doing this for Harrison.”
I sighed. “I can't wait to meet him. You’re right. All of this can wait, as much as I hate it. Give me five minutes to get dressed, and I’ll be ready. You do know how much I care about you, though, right?”
“I know. I also know that we need to make sure we work as parents first.”
“Harrison is the most important thing in the world to me, I would do anything for him. Anything at all.”
“It’s good that he has someone else in his life like that. I admit that I’m a lot less worried about things now that you know you’re his father.”
“What do you mean?”
She shrugged. “Just that I was worried for a long time about something happening to me. If that did, then my parents would be left taking care of him. You know, just the usual stuff.”
“I will always be here to take care of him. Even if what we have doesn’t work out, I want you to know that he’s my son, and I’ll always be his protector, no matter the cost.”
She swallowed and nodded, the words seeming to sink in as I rose and kissed the top of her head. Stacy still seemed uneasy, and I hated it. Nothing in this world would make me stop loving her or Harrison, but I knew if I told her that, she might not feel the same. I wasn’t ready to be rejected. With each passing day, I prayed that she would feel the same.
“Hey,” I said. “You have nothing to worry about, okay? Harrison is in good hands now. I promise.”
She nodded. “Go get dressed, I’m starving. We can keep talking afterward. You're terribly distracting when you are naked, Mr. Wheeler.”
I laughed. “Alright.”
Stacy rose to straighten her dress as I jogged into the front room and scooped up my towel. I could feel her eyes on me as I bent over but made no effort to wrap the towel back around my waist. I wanted her to see how much she excited me. My shaft was already stiff again, just watching her tug and position the tight dress. She grinned at me as I walked down the hallway, my own face nothing but smiles.
As I made my way down the hall, I heard the house phone start to ring but didn’t think anything of it. The machine would get a message, and I could handle it when I got back. My family all had my cellphone number along with the farmhands. If there was an emergency, they knew how to reach me. My mind was engrossed in the woman waiting for me just a few doors down.

Chapter Twenty (Stacy)
Walker disappeared as the phone rang. There was no way for him not to hear it. When the machine started its message, I tugged on my shoes that had come off during sex. My body was still shaking from the orgasm, my hair was a mess, and my heart pounded. Walker did something to me that I couldn’t control. Every time I saw him, I wanted to strip him down and let him take me.
A beep rang out across the empty room, and a man’s voice filled the air.
"Hey Walker, this is Scott Webner. Sorry, it’s taken me so long to get back with you. I did some digging; it turns out the boy’s mom is legit. He’s your son, alright. We can go ahead and move forward in the courts and subpoena her for a DNA test. She can try and fight it, but your mother said you had befriended her, so she’ll have a hard time claiming reasonable doubt. Give me a call, we’ll move forward first thing tomorrow. Congratulations, you’re going to be a
