that would need partners at some point. If I could make that path a little easier for them, then so be it.
“I love you, Walker, I just want what’s best. For now, I will stay out of it.”
I let out a sigh of relief and leaned back in my chair, at ease for the first time. The morning had taken an unexpected but seemingly positive turn. The weight of my secret no longer a burden that pulled me down.
“That’s all I ask, I appreciate it. You really will love them both once you get to know them.”
“If you love them, I already know I will, son.”

Chapter Nineteen (Walker)
As much as I wanted to spend the day thinking about Stacy and Harrison, worked called, and the ranch needed me. Not long after my parents left, our first heifer went into labor. For the next ten hours, I worked alongside my men as one calf after another was pulled or pushed into the world. With a vet on standby, we’d had eleven successful and smooth births.
The final cow was a first-time mother and struggled, but after several hours, a pair of calves were born, and the trio was resting in the barn. With minutes to spare, I dashed into the house, kicking off my boots and clothing as I ran a hot shower. I’d just shut the water off when the doorbell rang. Grabbing a towel, I left a trail of wet footsteps to the front door as I tugged it open.
Stacy’s eyes trailed across my body, her tongue darting to her lips. Instantly my desire started to grow with nothing to hide it but the towel wrapped at my waist. I cleared my throat, doing anything to break the tension before I took her right there in the entry-way. The short dress she wore was caught by the wind, revealing more of her flawless body and making it nearly impossible to keep my cock from getting hard.
“Am I early?” She grinned.
I shook my head and stepped to the side.
“No, I’m just running late. We had a busy day around here. It will only take me a couple minutes to get ready. Do you mind going into town to eat? I didn’t really have time to make anything.”
“We could go out, or we could stay in.” She said. “We really just need to talk about how the first meeting with Harrison is going to go. That can happen anywhere.”
“If you keep looking at me like that, we aren’t going to make it anywhere at all,” I warned her.
She sucked in a sharp breath. “I don’t know what you’re talking about. You are the one standing here in a towel. How should I look at you?”
“Like an upstanding member of the community, of course.”
“Got it,” She laughed. “And how am I looking at you then?”
“The same way I look at you every time you aren’t watching. Like you want to rip everything off me and taste my body.”
Stacy gasped. “What makes you think that’s the same look? Maybe I just appreciate a well-maintained body when I see one. That doesn’t mean I want to jump your bones, you know.”
I shrugged. “Maybe, maybe not. I know if you were standing here in a towel, I’d be dropping it to the ground so I could see every delicious curve of your body.”
“You seem to have a lot of opinions on what I should or shouldn’t be wearing.”
“Don’t get me wrong, I’d love to see that dress wrapped around your waist as well. Don’t tell me you aren’t thinking about it.”
“That isn’t why I’m here.”
“I know.” I grinned. “Just admit it. You want to feel that fire again as much as I do.”
“So? Just because I want to do something, doesn’t mean I have to be controlled by it.”
“Alright then, I’ll go get dressed, but I’ll be thinking of you the whole time.”
“See now, when you say things like that, it makes it hard for me to stay put.”
“You can always join me and help me pick out something to wear. God knows I could use a woman’s touch…in my wardrobe.”
The way she bit her lower lip almost undid me. I didn’t need to look down to know my excitement was pressing firmly against the towel. The excited look in her eyes told me everything I needed to know. Closing the door behind her, I brushed against her body. Stacy’s hand ran across the outline of my shaft in the towel, and I froze, a shudder
