that evil to touch her—not fucking ever.
“Luna Lopez, I really love it,” Leighton sighs.
Slowly, I transfer the baby to her arms and watch as she prepares to feed her. It’s beautiful. Everything about this day has been nothing short of amazing. I take in the moment, all of it, and watch as Leighton feeds our baby.
“Marry me,” I blurt out.
Leighton’s gaze lifts to meet mine. Her lips part in awe as she watches me for a moment. “Wilder?”
“Don’t give a fuck about anything else in this world, but you two. Want you to be mine, babe, legally.”
Something shifts through her features and she shakes her head. “I don’t have a birth certificate. I don’t have any documentation at all. I don’t know anything about myself, just what my father has told me, which is my first and last name and my birthday, but I can’t even really believe that.”
My stomach twists. She’s right. She has not a fucking clue if anything her father told her was true. When we found out that he had lived, Dragon sent a couple guys to his house and ransacked it. They didn’t find anything, nothing. No birth certificates, nothing. Leighton just doesn’t fucking exist.
“You don’t need that shit,” I say, clearing my throat.
“Why?”
My lips turn up into a grin. “Worm got you taken care of, babe. He had a birth certificate, social security card, driver’s license, even high school diploma made up for you.”
Her eyes widen, then they fill with unshed tears. She shakes her head. “It’s too much,” she whispers.
“Nothin’s too much for mi reina,” I say as I clear my throat. “How about you marry me?”
Leighton’s watery eyes meet mine and she nods her head. “Okay,” she breathes. “I’ll marry you, Wilder Lopez, but…”
“No buts,” I grunt.
Her lips curve up into a small smile. “But only because I love you.”
Laughing, I reach forward, cupping the back of Luna’s head with one hand, and the back of Leighton’s with the other before I lean in and touch my mouth to hers.
“Yeah,” I growl against her lips. “Fuckin’ shit, yeah. I love you too, both of you.”
UnTwist Me
A SAVAGE BEAST SHORT STORY
Prologue
TWO MONTHS EARLIER
ANA
I shouldn’t want this, but I do. I shouldn’t need this, but I absolutely do. Throwing my head back, I let out a cry as I ride the man beneath me. I shouldn’t want this, shouldn’t like it even a little bit, but I do.
When my brother threatened to sell me to the highest bidder, to the man who would benefit him the most, he was basically selling my virginity. So, even after I knew he was dead, I couldn’t wait to get rid of that pesky little chess piece.
There was only one man I trusted enough in this entire world to take it from me, too. I shouldn’t have asked him—no, more like begged him, but I did. He shouldn’t have agreed, but he did that too.
His fingers dig into my hips as he jerks me forward. I’m such a bitch. I’m definitely not a friend, especially to the only woman that I had in my corner for months.
“Faster,” Gator demands.
I jerk my hips, licking my lips as I look down at him and start to ride faster. His lips curve up into a grin, but I can see that behind his eyes, he’s absolutely dead. He’s not here because he gives a shit about me, he’s here because I’m a warm body.
I should hate that, I should feel like complete shit, and I do, just not enough, I guess. Maybe it’s my upbringing, being raised by a drug lord, maybe that’s just the woman that I am deep down and it wouldn’t matter who raised me.
“I’m going to come,” I breathe.
He grunts. He’s not there yet, but I know him, he can make that happen in a matter of seconds. Just a few rough, hard, aching thrusts and he’ll empty inside of the condom he’s wearing in a heartbeat.
The orgasm rushes through me, then I collapse as he uses his grip on my hips to jack himself. He lets out his own grunt as he comes. I don’t stay nestled in close to him, that’s not what we have. Flinging myself off of him, I lie on my back and stare at the ceiling.
“That was wrong,” I whisper.
“Yeah,” he agrees.
It’s like we have this dialogue completely memorized. Rolling to my side, I stare at his profile. “You need to talk to them,” I rasp.
“Yeah,” he sighs.
“They love you.”
He nods,
