excitement bubbling inside me. It was weird to think of this as an assignment, but it seemed like my school life was going to be more eventful than I’d anticipated.
Zion, Tracker of Water and Earth. Smart but intriguing. This is going to be an interesting connection for all of us.

Zeus Of Fire And Thunder
"If that stupid asshole asks me if I'm Zeke one more time, I'll—"
"Are you going to snipe his ass with thunder?" I asked with an elated grin.
Zeus gave me a blank expression.
"Kill?!" Shadow Jade rested her chin on my shoulder, adding to my happy stare, the two of us waiting for his agreement.
"You actually want me to, don't you?"
"It'd be more exciting than class," I admitted.
"No kill?" Shadow Jade blinked, sounding disappointed.
"No. I guess Zeus can't kill anyone yet unless they threaten his patience." I sighed dramatically, feeling just as disappointed. "It's okay, Shadow Jade. Next week is all combat. We can kill someone there," I vowed.
"Kill!" Shadow Jade cheered, and a few of the students sitting at the nearby tables turned to look at us nervously.
Zeus reached for his orange juice, not bothered by the stares. "You're far too happy to declare your desire to spill blood."
"It's a lot more fun than studying. Where's the drama? Or school fights?" I sighed.
Shadow Jade was staring at Zeus's orange juice. "Me?"
Zeus paused in drinking the bottle that was half done, glancing at Shadow Jade's tray of food. "You have one."
"All done." She picked it up and turned it over; not even a drop of orange juice remained. Zeus looked my way, noticing I had a carton of milk today.
"Why didn't you get orange juice?"
"Bianca said my left boob is slightly bigger than the right and milk helps your boobs grow," I declared.
Zeus looked speechless.
"What?" I shrugged. "It's true. Well...that and bones, but anyway. I'm adding milk to my diet to ensure my boobs even out."
"You can't be serious."
"Very serious." I nodded my head. "I'd show you the difference, but I'm wearing a bland cotton bra and not a bedazzled lace one."
"Shouldn't you be more concerned that we're in the cafeteria with students and teachers?"
"So? They're just boobs. They're nice during playtime and are a food source for babies. Nothing so shocking about them. Even if mine are slightly uneven."
"I really don't know what to expect when having conversations with you," he grumbled, offering his remaining drink to Shadow Jade, who squealed and accepted it.
"Mine! Thank you." She got her straw from her previous bottle and plopped it in this one, beginning to drink it and stare at her burger wrapper.
"You barely ate," Zeus acknowledged, his eyes on my tuna wrap that had no less than two bites missing.
"It wasn't made right," I replied. "Far too much mayo, and it's clearly not fresh, making the wrap soggy. I don't like wasting food, but soggy anything...it just bugs me."
"Bugs you?" Zeus stared at me, his eyes looking deeply into mine.
He must have been attempting to figure me out. It wasn't as though I had anything to hide now that I knew him and his brothers.
"When you live on the streets, people like to throw food at you. If it was still in decent condition I'd be fine with eating it, but most of the time they would throw leftover sandwiches and those healthy wraps no one likes. Sometimes one of the staff members from the restaurant I’d always sit in front of would feel bad for me. She'd bring me some of the expired wraps that they couldn't sell anymore. They're not supposed to, obviously. If it's expired, they throw it out, which is such a waste and merely feeds raccoons instead of those who may not be able to find a place to call home."
Shadow Jade’s head moved in front of my line of vision, and she offered the bottle of orange juice that had a little bit left.
"Juice."
"I don't need any, Shadow Jade." I smiled at her.
She stared at me for a long moment. "Juice," she said again.
I figured this may end up as one of those back-and-forth non-negotiables Shadow Jade sometimes had. I reached for the juice and accepted it, offering a light pat on her head in return. "Thanks, Shadow Jade."
"Kill!" she declared in reply, beginning to sing the Kill song quietly, the tune a little perkier than normal. Must have been her way of trying to cheer me up, which I did need.
I personally disliked talking about my year on the streets.
"Anyway. The food was
