Queen Of Sins - Stephanie Hudson Page 0,113

me.

“Oh shit, that's why Adam was mumbling something about a box before he pushed me through the portal,” Pip said, now remembering this, and obviously explaining to us who in fact had retrieved the box for Matthias. Because, of course, he would fucking know that Adam would know how to get into my vault, being my second!

“Fuck!” I hissed, before snapping,

“You didn't think that this would be an important bit of information to tell me when you had the chance, like when I had the fucking chance to say, bury the fucking box a mile underground!” I snapped, making Lucifer shrug his shoulders and as usual take not a fucking shred of responsibility for his fucked up actions!

“Dom, I think it's time we go get our girls,” I said, before I started the fight right here.

“Lead our armies into battle, and may the Gods be on our side!” I said, before launching myself up into the air and taking myself over those that were already making their way across the battlefield. Thankfully, both Dom and I knew where the Keystone remained, and were heading that way now. However, unfortunately this was when we found ourselves with a new foe to fight.

Minokawa.

This was a giant demonic eagle, a hundred times the size of Dom’s pet bird, Ava, who she had in fact been created from. Its lava filled veins heated up each feather as it headed straight for us, meaning we had no choice but to try and fight the fucking thing in the air! However, the moment this beast started to release what I knew would be a poison, I shouted to Dom,

“Look out!” But then I also knew this would come too late as it opened its large beak, ready to let out this poisonous mist. One that the second it touched our skin, would make our wings useless and we would fall to the depths of the army below. I shouted again, as I could see its energy building up and just as I believed it was too late, a stream of ice came from nowhere before I saw the body it belonged to.

The McBain brothers.

Their combined beasts rose up in the air like a mighty force, taking down the Minokawa as easily as if it was nothing but a common bird. The ice scorched the creature before it let out a high-pitched cry, and then fell crashing into the thousands below. I nodded my thanks to all three of its heads before watching as they swooped down low, becoming an army within themselves. Now grabbing large groups of the solders with all six of its feet before throwing them against the mountain it circled around.

Dom and I carried on now that the skies were free of enemies, as those with wings now wisely stayed on the ground, no doubt not wanting to chance a death like they had just witnessed. I turned when I heard a battle horn blow, as this was the signal for our own armies to rush into battle. We had the advantage from above as legions were charging down the slope, using arrows and streams of power and magic to throw down at the infantry below. Yet, despite this advantage, I also knew that as it stood, it would not be enough for we were far too outnumbered. This was because Lucifer and Asmodeus had no choice but to take their own forces and try to deal with Abaddon. Because if he was to allowed to escape into the rest of Hell, then it would not take him long to destroy its entirety. Matthias and his Titan power be damned. For nothing could stop Abaddon.

Already he had split parts of the land, making sections of it come away so that the armies were split. Of course, Dom had his legions, Sophia hers and also her husband's, but seeing as mine was reduced to zero, it still meant we were outnumbered.

“LOOK!” I turned my head when Dom nodded in the direction that would flank our forces. Carn’reau and his army had just appeared, bringing with them some Dragons that belonged to his brother, along with some of his own army.

“Thank the Gods,” I muttered as aid had come after all, for I could see them already charging into battle. Thank fuck, for the Fae were beautifully swift and brutal and with each swipe of their blades, they took down ten of our enemies. Already I could see them hacking down wave after wave of
