Omega In The Office - Aria Grace Page 0,41
seems happy to submit or dominate as the situation demands. He’s flexible when it comes to his role in our relationship. I think that adaptability is what has allowed him to thrive since his accident. I can trust Candor to step up to any situation and be whatever is currently needed.
If the last few months have taught me anything, it’s that we’re stronger together.
“Tomorrow is our first Christmas together,” Lucius says as he rises from his chair.
“The first of many,” Candor adds without hesitation.
“I look forward to it.” My heart has never felt as full as it does right now.
“Unfortunately, it’s also going to be our last Christmas alone.” Lucius pouts a little as he approaches the sofa and slides in beside us. There’s technically enough room for three, but with the way I’m sitting, it’s a bit snug.
“Why do I feel like this nice quiet evening is about to turn raunchy?” Candor wonders aloud with a mischievous grin playing across his lips.
“Oh please, no,” I beg a little more desperately than I’d intended. Both alphas look at me with open mouthed surprise. “I mean, it’s just...” I stammer around to try and explain. My face is growing hot.
“Lee, stop it’s okay,” Lucius chuckles. “Your feet hurt, your legs hurt. I’m sure you’re not feeling up to ‘vigorous activity’ right now. That’s not what I was suggesting anyway.”
“Still, I never thought I’d hear you protest like that.” Candor grins at me. “I almost couldn’t believe my ears.”
I purse my lips and frown a little. “You guys make me sound like I’m constantly horny.”
“Well,” Candor tilts his head as if considering, “maybe not constantly. But it’s certainly a frequent occurrence.”
“He’s right.” Lucius nods.
“Anyway. That’s not what you wanted to talk about.” I fix my gaze on Lucius and lift my brows. “Can we move on?”
“All I wanted to do was cuddle a bit,” Lucius says, his face flushing as he looks away. “I just know that once the babies arrive we’re probably not going to have a lot of time to just...enjoy each other’s company. You know those perfect moments I was talking about? I think this is one of them. Just...time. Time to be still. To listen to each other’s breathing, our heartbeats.”
“You’re so poetic, Lucius,” Candor muses. “I really do think you could be a writer if you wanted.”
Again, Lucius flushes. This isn’t the first time Candor’s made that suggestion. Every time he says it, Lucius plays it off. He’s always had a way with words but he never really thought it was anything special. Reason number five-hundred-ninety-three why I’m so grateful for Candor. He gives Lucius that extra nudge.
“So what do you want to do exactly, Lucius?” I ask, sitting up.
“I thought we could just crawl into bed together,” Lucius says, finally looking back at us. “It’s still early enough, I don’t think we’re super tired yet. So we could cuddle. Usually the only time we’re all physically together, is when we’re having sex or we’re sleeping.”
A smile touches my lips. I honestly didn’t think I’d ever hear Lucius, of all people, asking for some cuddle time. And really, it’s thanks to Candor that Lucius has learned how to be a badass alpha, that doesn’t have a problem with asking for cuddles. They’ve smoothed each other’s rough edges and built up their strengths.
“Alright then, you heard the man,” Candor says, unceremoniously tossing my feet off his lap. “It’s cuddling time.”

I was absolutely right when I said we’d have zero free time once the twins were born. But, honestly, I wish I hadn’t been.
Stifling a yawn, I gently bounce Theo in the crook of one arm, while I rock Thor’s cradle with my free hand. They’re finally settling back down, after nearly an hour of resisting all attempts to soothe their cries. It’s only been a week since we brought them home from the hospital, but I was kinda hoping they might have settled into some sort of routine by now.
Instead, I’m contemplating setting up a cot in the nursery so that I can get up without disturbing my mates.
“You don’t have to get up with them every single time they cry,” Candor says from the doorway. His voice is barely above a whisper, but it sounds so loud in the quiet, stillness of the darkened house. “I can help too.”
“I don’t mind,” I reply, slowly laying Theo back in his cradle. “You and Leon have been so busy lately. It’s the least I can do.”
Theo starts to fuss
