now and then, okay?” he requested.

“I do not make any promises as I have a date with booze and a woman I’m pretty sure is going to drink me under the table,” I said with a snicker.

“She’s totally going to drink you under the table,” Vortex said as he rejoined us in just a towel.

I licked my lips as I watched water fall from his hair down his chiseled chest.

It was so not right for a man to have that many muscles.

“Lucy?” Tyson asked.

“Oh, uh, sorry,” I responded.

Hurricane snickered.

“I will see you tomorrow,” I said.

“I love you,” he said.

The three sets of eyes in the room focused on me with differing intensities.

“I love you, too,” I replied, hung up, and handed Hurricane back his phone. “Thanks for letting me use it. I’m going to shower so I can get this monster blood off of me.”

Before anyone could ask me anything, I ran to the bathroom and hopped into the shower.

After scrubbing and washing my hair four times, I finally felt clean. I walked out in my towel to find the three men whispering conspiratorially to each other.

“Hey, no secrets,” I said and gripped my towel tightly so it wouldn’t fall.

“My turn to shower,” Austin said.

I nodded and headed to my dresser to get clothes.

Warm hands slid along my shoulders and around my upper chest. “We need another date,” Hurricane whispered in my ear, his warm breath making me shudder.

“I agree,” I whispered, leaning back into him. “Where are you going to take me?”

“Now that our relationships are public, we could take you anywhere,” he said. He turned me around, slid a hand along my jaw until it tangled in my hair, and then pulled me flush against him. His hard length pressed into my lower belly, making me shudder again. “But first I have a pressing matter to attend to.”

I reached down and stroked him through his pants. “I can see that.”

“Oh, you haven’t seen anything yet,” he groaned and pressed against me.

“Soon?” I asked.

Vortex pulled Hurricane away. “Yes, but not yet. Come on, we need to change and meet everyone downstairs.”

I watched Hurricane leave and sucked in my bottom lip. I was definitely going to enjoy my time with those two when it came, but there was still that little voice in the back of my head that reminded me they had split up with us before and could do it again.

Just because they came back once didn’t mean they were here to stay. For all I knew, they would spend one day with Tyson and decide they couldn’t share me with a villain again and leave.

I didn’t want to give my heart to them, but if I was being honest with myself, it might have been a little bit late for that. I was fairly certain I was already in way over my head with those two and I didn’t know if there was anything I could do to stop it.

“You okay?” Austin asked as he rejoined me in the room, his towel wrapped around his waist and another towel in his hand as he dried his hair.

“Yeah,” I whispered. “I’m okay. Just still reeling from everything.”

He kissed my cheek and headed towards the door. “Let me get dressed really quick and then we can go meet everyone. Okay?”

I nodded and watched him go, admiring his bare, muscled back as he left.

Chapter Twenty-Six

“Cheers!” Crystal Woman called as she clinked her glass against mine.

Alura, Crystal Woman, Tremor, Hurricane, Vortex, Galactic Gargoyle, Black Hole, and I sat around a table together, drinking and eating appetizers.

Alura sat on my left with Crystal on my right, forcing the men to sit across from us.

It wasn’t a bad set up. It allowed for us to look at each other and for the inebriated women to lean heavily on each other without worrying about being accused of flirting or being inappropriate.

Alura had joined us with Black Hole at her side, a timid smile on as she hugged me. I didn’t know much about the hero, but from the way he treated her before we sat down, I approved.

“I vote we institute monthly girls’ nights,” Alura slurred and leaned heavily against my shoulder.

I hiccupped. “Agreed.”

Crystal draped an arm around my shoulders and nodded. “Yes!”

“What about us? You’re going to leave us all alone?” Hurricane asked with a pout.

Crystal put her hand over my mouth before I could respond and said, “Yes. You can all go hang out together. Girls need time away from the men
