tightened and he groaned. The reaction was instantaneous. She did it again and his hips lunged forward, seating him inside her. She gripped him and tightened her legs to stop him from moving until her body adjusted.
“Jesus, I’m sorry. I just couldn’t.”
“No, it’s okay. Just go slow. You’re so damn thick and big.” He lifted onto his elbows and stared down at her. A smile pulled at his lips. She rolled her eyes. “Yeah, all right, you’re gigantic and I’m impressed.”
The smile widened for several seconds until his eyes riveted on her lips and he lowered to consume her in one of those tender, fantastic, mind-melting kisses again. He started a small, slow slide from her and slowly lengthened his strokes until he was almost pulling out of her. He was holding back.
She could tell he wasn’t letting himself go. She cupped his cheek, and he opened his eyes. “I want you. Now. Harder and deeper.”
He shook his head. “I don’t want to hurt you.”
“You’ve taken care of that. Take me the way you want to. Now. Please.” She watched as he searched her face. There was still doubt in his eyes. She used her legs to tighten against the back of his thighs. “Please.”
“You’ll stop me if—”
She placed her fingers over his lips. “Take me. You won’t hurt me.” She watched as he gave in to his need. The first snap of his hips was tentative. She shook her head. “More.”
His arm snaked around her leg and he rose above her. On his knees, he pulled her back toward him and gripped her hips. His eyes pegged her with a stare as he pulled her to him and he crashed forward. She arched up involuntarily, his body inside her lighting up every nerve ending that she had. He leaned away and then came forward, again and again, faster and stronger. She braced herself on the wall to keep from moving up the bed. But that was instinct because the only thing she was feeling was the fullness of this man inside her. His punishing pace brought nothing but astonishing pleasure. Her body raced back to that place up in the stratosphere and exploded moments before he lost his rhythm and roared as he came.
He dropped down, sweat beading along his temples and over his skin. She welcomed him against her, and he rolled them, keeping their connection for several moments.
“See… stratosphere.”
He pulled away. “What?”
“Floating.”
He chuckled and slid out of her, dealing with the condom swiftly. He was back before she was chilled and had her wrapped in his arms seconds later. “That was one hell of a way to start a relationship.” He chuckled the words as he stroked her hair.
She lifted her chin and closed one eye to look at him. “We’re in a relationship?”
“Hell, yeah. Not letting you get away.”
She stared at him, the humor in his expression so damn cute. “You’re lucky you’re cute.”
“Excuse me? I’m not cute.” He kissed her forehead.
“Fine, handsome. Good looking, hung like a freaking horse.”
He rolled her onto her back. “I didn’t hurt you, did I?”
She could sense the seriousness of his question. “No. It was perfect.” She wondered if someone had told him that he had hurt them. She couldn’t imagine it, not with the careful way he’d taken care to stretch her to accommodate him.
His stomach growled and they both laughed. “I better feed you before that stomach roars again. Duke may knock down the door to investigate.”
“Maybe I should risk it.” He leaned over and gave her a long, slow, soft kiss.
She ran her hands up his muscled arms and shoulders when he lifted away. “Maybe you should.”
Chapter 10
Bekki stood behind him and peeked around, looking out at the construction site. “This is ridiculous, what if someone sees us?”
“No one is here. We have access to the beach. No better place for a picnic.” He turned and slid his hand behind Bekki’s hair to cup her neck. She was wearing one of his t-shirts that he kept in the trailer for when he stayed over—and nothing else. The black cotton fabric dropped mid-thigh on her and was one of the sexiest sights he’d seen in years.
“I can’t walk down there barefoot and my heels wouldn’t do well on the rough ground.” She shook her head. “Really, let’s just eat here.”
“Nope.” He dipped down. “Jump up.”
“What? No. I will not.”
He stood again and turned around. “Come on, it will be fun.” He turned his back to her again and
