didn’t want you to feel pressured.”
“I didn’t.”
“So why run now?”
He felt her shrug.
Tilting his head, he remained just out of reach of her lips to see her response. When she leaned in closer, he eliminated the gap, kissing her lightly. Only this time, he licked her lower lip. Once, twice. Another sensual whimper and her hands were on his hips. Kaden wasn’t sure she was even aware that she was pulling him closer. He knew better than to tell her.
Instead, he kissed her with all the passion he’d restrained for so long. When her tongue met his, the storm raged, all those suppressed desires roaring full throttle. Kaden pushed her into the wall, his body firm against hers, his hands sliding down to her thighs so he could maneuver her where he wanted her. Bristol was the one who began grinding against his erection, her arms circling his neck, her whimpers and moans growing louder.
He didn’t relent because Bristol was finally … finally … right where he wanted her.

Keegan heard the angry voices coming from the living room, followed by silence, then a few well-placed moans. It was enough to pique his interest, to draw him out of his bedroom.
He stood in the small square space that served as a hall between the two bedrooms, the bathroom and the rest of the house. With his shoulder against the jamb, he watched Kaden and Bristol as they practically inhaled one another. It didn’t surprise him to find them like that, Bristol pinned to the wall by Kaden’s much larger body, his brother’s thigh wedged between hers. Hell, it was a long fucking time coming as far as he was concerned.
If he were one to admit to insecurities, this would be one of those times. Watching his twin with a woman was usually something he had a front-row seat for. The last time he’d been on the outside looking in without being privy to what was taking place had been when he caught Meredith and Kaden at their house, nearly a decade ago. She’d been naked, him fully dressed. Keegan doubted either of them had expected him to come home. Yet there he’d been watching the two of them in a position very similar to this one.
Keegan fucking hated that strange sensation that tingled in his gut. It was fear, he realized. Fear that his brother would leave him behind for a woman when he realized it was a hell of a lot easier to find that elusive happy ever after that way. Kaden had refrained with Meredith. Would he do it again? Or would he simply shove Keegan aside to assuage the need he had for this woman?
Bristol would probably be all for it then.
“What about Keegan?” Bristol asked, her voice a sexy rasp. “He hates me.”
No, he didn’t hate her, but he didn’t like these games she was playing. Not one fucking bit.
“He doesn’t hate you,” Kaden said, pulling back and staring down at her.
They looked cozy like that. More so than they had when they’d been chatting at the daycare center. There was an intimacy between them, a fire burning, threatening to get out of control at any moment.
Now would’ve been the perfect opportunity for Bristol to tell Kaden she didn’t want the hassle of two of them. It would probably work, too, considering how long Kaden had been pining away for her and the fact Kaden had given up on love everlasting in the past because of Keegan.
As he stood there watching, Keegan waited for the words, waited for his twin to shun him for the first time in their lives. What it was about Bristol, he wasn’t sure, but he had the strange feeling she could be the one to come between them. Whether it was because there was something intriguing about her or simply because she’d gotten under Kaden’s skin, he didn’t know, and he honestly didn’t want to think about it.
“I didn’t mean to hurt him.”
Keegan’s eyes narrowed. Why the hell would she think she had?
“What do you wanna do about that?” Kaden asked.
Yeah, what he said.
“I need to talk to him,” she said, her arms coming down from around Kaden’s neck. “Before this goes any further.”
And there you had it. At least she was going to have the decency to ask him to step aside. It was more than he’d gotten in the past.
Keegan slipped back into his bedroom, closing the door silently before dropping onto his bed and staring up at the ceiling.
