with the silent stealth my training has taught me. My female has no idea I’m in the same room as her. I slide behind the door she’s opened and elongate my serrated claws. I’m ready to tear this male apart if he tries to hurt what is most important to me.
“My name is Borr Softsone of the Immigration Service. I am here to check on Chloe Chang, a human,” the male says with a surly tone as he waves a badge in front of my female. A badge she doesn’t even bother to check.
“Good morning. I’m the only human here,” my female responds brightly. “I guess that means I’m Chloe Chang,” she jokes.
My heart sings at the sound of her gentle voice. I love this female so much, it hurts. She’s unbearably sexy, standing there in the same type of shirt the females of my culture wear, which exposes the gleam of her soft, colorless skin. The skin I want so badly to lick and bite.
Her lack of horns, fangs or claws has never bothered me. She might appear defenseless, but I know my female has an inner strength forged of iron ore. She took care of her entire family for five long years, sacrificing herself for them. I admire the fact that she seems now to be moving forward with what she wants in life. I hope she wants me.
I fell in love with her over a vid screen, talking to her, hearing her voice and mainly seeing only her features. But now that I’ve also been exposed to her in real life—her scent and her perfectly fuckable body, I’m ten times more in love with her than before, if that’s possible.
And now she’s pregnant with my offspring. My claws dig into the door frame. She smells different. Better. Addictive.
“Can I come inside your domicile?” the asshole asks. “I was notified that you are living here with Bergelmir Touchstone. This is not the address you originally recorded as your permanent residence on Tarvos, therefore I am required to visually confirm your residence and check on your employment status.”
“Oh, oh…yes, sure come right on in.”
Grr. My human is too damn trusting. She hasn’t even asked to check his Real ID against his badge. It’s a good thing I’m here. I swiftly switch positions and move to stand behind an adjacent door.
The Hyrrokin looks around at my house. He drifts through the large front rooms and the kitchen. I can see my female has indeed had the bots clean. It’s very different already, with the new furniture and the debris and insect webs gone. I am pleased with what she has already been able to accomplish so quickly.
“Your work visa allows you to be here as a surrogate,” he tells her. “It is illegal for a human to be the bound of a Hyrrokin citizen. You are here as a surrogate, this means you are here on Tarvos for one year. After that you are to return to your planet of origin.”
I see her lips pinch. My human looks sad. This hurts my heart. “I know,” she answers. “I understand the law and I know that I have only one year on Tarvos.”
This whole time I’ve never been concerned with what my Chloe was going to do after the birth of my son, because I know she’s mine. She doesn’t know I’ve always planned that if my planet continues with these crazy laws, we’re leaving. I’ll take Chloe and my offspring with me to Omega 9 and live there instead. Omega 9 is neutral, and we’d be happy there. Well, I’d be much happier on my home planet, but if they won’t accept the human I love, then they don’t accept me either.
This had been my original plan when I’d first heard of this new fucked up law, but by the time I’d returned from my mission, my female had surprised me by already acquiring her work visa and was one diurnal from her virtual auction.
But my female knows none of that. What does Chloe plan on doing at the end of one year? I can’t tell her of my plans. I have no idea what she wants to do. This worries me greatly.
The law will not allow me to declare a human as my bound. The law is wrong, and I am working to change the law, but meanwhile I have to follow it. I could swoop her into my arms right now and carry her to the transporter station
