For The Win (Gamer Girls, #6) - Auryn Hadley Page 0,163
but those are vanishing as fast as they come up. The problem is that they're using hashtags for us, the PLG, and her name."
Braden pressed a hand over his mouth. "Do they know she works here yet?"
"No," Amy assured him. "But they will. Dez is heading this way. She called to say that had best be up by the end of the day because it's time to change the fucking subject."
"Sounds like her," Braden agreed. "How do we help?"
Amy pointed at Braden. "You need to check the forums. Make sure the links aren't being posted. There are too many short ones that don't have a keyword to search." Then she looked to Rhaven. "You need to change your phone number, check on your family, and the FBI will be calling. Use the Think Tank if you want privacy."
That was all Rhaven needed to hear. She started walking that way, and her phone rang again. Checking the screen, she wasn't surprised at all to see a listing for Cynister, so she answered. "Yeah?"
"You just got doxxed," he said. "You're with Braden, right?"
"At Deviant right now," she assured him.
"I mean living," he corrected.
"Yeah. Why?"
He chuckled. "Because this isn't going to hurt you the way they want. Babe, you're going to need to change everything. Social Security Number, your ID, and definitely your phone number. I suggest the phone first, because it's out there now." He paused. "Rhaven, there's a snag, though. Ohio won't change your gender, but Montana will. Ohio requires you to be a resident for a year before they'll change your name."
"Oh," she breathed, feeling her heart sink. "Shit."
"But," he said, "Bradley's got an idea. He's about to call a judge he knows in Montana. Because this is an active case and we're already involved, he can ask the judge to grant you the name and gender change there. You'd have to wait a bit before getting a new ID, officially changing your address, and so on, but we can make you Rhaven Moore, a female."
"And what do I have to do?" she asked.
"I'm emailing you a couple forms. Get them printed, fill them out, sign it, and email them back to me. Don't get freaked out by the official email address, though. Even better, if you can get the notary there to sign it? Yeah, that'll speed things up. Oh, and I'm filling out most of this, so all you need to do is sign them and get them notarized."
"I can do that," she promised.
"Good, then call Kate and Psyc. They're both on my ass."
She promised and then ended the call, dialing Kate next. "Hey," Rhaven said when she answered. "I'm going to need to get a new phone, I guess."
"Already on it," Kate promised. "I've kinda been through this once before. Adam basically used all the info they dropped out there and said he was named 'Ethan' and had the number changed and the account secured because of identity theft. You'll have a new number by the end of the day, they said. I'm letting the gamers know what it's changing to, and I'm about to send you a text with the new number."
"Jesus," Rhaven breathed. "Cyn's handling my name and stuff. What else do I need to do?"
"Call your family," Kate told her. "There are going to be some freaks, some hate mail, and probably a few visits. They need to call their local police to do a few checks for the next week or so until this dies down."
"Ok," Rhaven said. "Dez wanted to announce me on the website."
"That will help your family," Kate agreed. "If the world knows that you've moved to a different state? Yeah. But it's going to piss KoG off, you know."
"Don't care," Rhaven said. "Kate, Cyn's partner is getting my name and gender changed. I'm never going to have to be Ethan again."
"Because we're not going to let them win," Kate assured her. "But can I ask about something else? And you can tell me it's none of my business if you want, but I'm dying to know. What's up with Psyc and you?"
With a groan, Rhaven dropped her head to the table. "I'm going to blame the alcohol just so I have an excuse."
"What happened?" Kate breathed.
"A threesome," Rhaven admitted. "With Braden and Psyc."
"Oh!" Kate squealed. "Adam! She did! You were so right!"
"What?!" Rhaven asked.
"He said you'd had a wild night. I didn't think it went that far. But, like, all the way?"
