Tap Out (Reaper's Den Book One) - Nikki Mays Page 0,49

minimal groping. I really need to be given a medal or some shit for the amount of restraint that I’ve shown. Especially since Stacey likes to sleep in one of my t-shirts wearing only the world’s tiniest panties underneath. Thanks to her, I’m pretty sure that I’m going to get carpal tunnel in my hand soon.

But it has been nice just spending time with her doing even just mundane things. Not to say that I haven’t made sure to take her out to a few nice places. I’ve even taken her to the movies a few times and sat through the corniest romantic comedy, or rom-com as she called. I call it total crap but that’s just me. Seriously, how women can watch that shit is beyond me. The dudes that have women salivating are the world’s biggest pansies. I swear, I’m going to need to be drunk as shit if she drags me to another one of those.

Speaking of my gorgeous woman, she’s currently walking towards me with a huge smile on her face, followed by Brad and Kealy.

I mentally snort. The first time that I stayed at her place after we got back together, Brad screamed “Hallelujah” and dramatically fell over. To say he was happy to see me was an understatement. When Stace went into her bedroom to change, he threatened to kill me if I even made Stacey “such a miserable cow” again.

I’m really beginning to think that I need to get some new friends and family. Every damn person I know is threatening to kill me lately.

I give Stacey a wide smile when she reaches me. “Hey Baby.” I pull her into my arms for a kiss that is no where near appropriate for being in public. But fuck it, I own the place. And if every asshole in here sees that she’s not available, then so be it.

She looks up at me with flushed cheeks when I finally give her some space. “Hey handsome.” She replies breathlessly.

“Will you two get a damn room.” Brad grumbles. “Honestly, I miss the days of you two sneaking around. At least the rest of us didn’t have to suffer through all of your damn PDA.”

Stacey turns her head towards Brad but remains in my arms. “No one likes a salty bitch Brad. It’s not my fault that you are going through a dry spell worse than the Sahara Desert.” She looks him up and down while he scowls at her. “And we know damn well that green is NOT your color.”

“Every color is my color bitch.” He hisses ferally. “I make everything look good.”

“Oh really? How did that cashmere sweater work out for you?” She counters without missing a beat.

“Oh, yeah, I remember that sweater.” Kealy chimes in with a grimace.

Brad puts a hand on his hip. “It is not my fault that sweat was ugly.” He sniffs with his nose up in the air.

Stacey gives him an obnoxious snort. “Hmm, that’s funny, because it was a cute sweater until you put it on.”

His eyes are so narrow that I’m not even sure he can see out of them. “Bitch keep this up and I’ll put Nair in your shampoo bottles. I’ll have you walking around here looking like the female version of Mr. Clean. And you know damn well that I will.”

Stacey rolls her eyes with a smirk while Kealy just shakes her head at them smiling. “If anyone needs some Nair, it’s you for that fur coat that’s growing on your chest and back.”

“It is not my fault that I have a lot of testosterone. Plus, the girl who does my waxing has been out on maternity leave. And I do not trust any of those other heffers in that place. The scream from some poor girl in the next room over was enough to make sure of that.”

Both Stacey and Kealy look at him in horror. “Yikes.” Kealy responds. “But it could’ve been her first wax. It’s not exactly a pleasant experience.” Stacey nods her head in agreement.

Brad shakes his head. “No, I found out the next time that I went, that poor girl got burnt. The technician never checked the wax. It was scalding hot.”

I can see Stacey cross her legs. “That poor thing.”

Brad nods his head with his lips pursed. “Exactly. That is why I refuse to see anyone else. If I need to suffer a fur coat on my chest and back, I will. There is no way that I’m taking any
